  • We raise our 12-month target to $57 from $53, reflecting the benefits we see related to YHOO's announced plans for a tax-free spin-off its 15% stake in Alibaba (BABA 100, Buy) as a publicly-traded company by year-end.
They also wrote -YHOO's Core Holdings will be in focus -going forward!

  • 1/26/15--9:34 EST - No. 2 US chicken processor Pilgrim's Pride (PPC) bounces back toward last month's high on last night's announcement it will pay a $1.5B, or $5.77/share, special dividend next month--3/4 of which will go to majority owner JBS (JBSS3.BR, JBSAY). That puts to use cash which built up amid M&A efforts, but PPC lost out on its effort to buy Jimmy Dean parent Hillshire last spring to poultry rival Tyson (TSN). PPC climbs 7.8% to $34 while 8.2% JBSS3.BR is up 4.2% in Sao Paulo after sliding 17% within the past month.

It's no secret that Mark Zuckerberg seemed to justify the entire mobile ad industry with blockbuster mobile profits back in 2013, but the question remains how exactly did he do it? Fulgoni explained that it's all about engagement. Facebook built an app that is user friendly and attracts smartphone use. More than 75% of Facebook users use the program on their phones; 30% of them ONLY use it on their phone. And Facebook is aware of this. “You’ve got that engagement already occurring on that device. I think that the way the newsfeeds are set up on Facebook, and Twitter (TWTR) for that matter, you can really fit an ad in nicely there. And it’s really difficult for the consumer to avoid seeing it and noticing it,” said Fulgoni.

    Dec. 10, 2014- (Our 2015 Target is $5+, 9.6X forward EPS est. of $.52)

We see HOV's turnaround on track, valuation as attractive, and expect no taxes on the next
$2 billion of earnings due to a deferred tax asset. Although HOV recorded net losses in 25 of
the past 32 quarters, the company delivered positive earnings in the most recent quarter,
ended July 31 on solid unit volume growth and price increases, accompanied by good cost
    controls.
We expect only two more quarters of slight losses, in the first quarters of FY 15 and
FY 16, but see growing profitability in Q2 through Q4 of each of these upcoming fiscal
    years.
In addition, HOV expects to soon reverse its deferred tax asset valuation allowance of
$933 million, turning shareholder's equity positive, to about $490 million.

    "Facebook In The US
FB has 1.35 Billion users and with acquiring instagram they are covering the full demographic from young to old. With WhatsApp messenger and their own FB Messenger, FB is expanding users and they are sticking. And the Oculus will cover the VR inclusion of the future...and even that investment is expected to payoff much earlier than expected with the Rift. Keep in mind not only FB been grabbing ad marketshare but with increase of 3X increase in ad fees from just one year prior. THAT's how effective FB's ads are.
