Something unusual happened - the second week at the box office in China was slightly larger than the first. It has already cracked $103m in two week; remarkably Korea's second week was nearly equal to the first as well. Here is why this is important - the whole ODW deal was set up so DWA could keep more money from what will become the largest box office market in a few years. I believe DW keeps roughly twice as much of the profits in China as they used to. China will keep this in theaters longer than most films as a point of National pride. Don't be surprised if DWA's next earnings report is surprisingly healthy.
