Techline of Waunakee is closing after 43 years, 93 jobs gone. Oshkosh Corp is laying off 760.
Where is the revenue coming from for this billion dollar surplus, Walker? You need job growth, income growth and increased spending, none of which is happening on your watch.

Oshkosh Corp is sending 760 workers home without a job. The doors will be shut in their faces in June and July. As my previous post this is not unexpected and more jobs will be gone in the coming months.
Altogether now, "Scott Walker, where are the 250,000 jobs you promised?"

Talked to a department head at the UW-Madison. The dean told her last year to prepare for a nuclear event. They're merging her department with another, firing the administrator, secretaries, grant writers, research staff, no hiring of new faculty or filling vacant faculty positions etc. Meanwhile the UW-Madison made a $127k, do nothing job for a Walker crony and $100,000 annual pay increase for the football coach.

No need to pay this dead GI's pension, Social Security and health care. Let's let Paul Ryan in on it!

A 21-year-old Lincoln man who died in a handgun accident Friday evening was described as a fun-loving gun aficionado by his friends and family.

Jeffrey Felty said his son grew up around firearms and had been taught proper technique since he was a child. He went to a firing range often and always took safety precautions.

Like his father, Justin Felty recognized the beauty in firearms .

On Friday, Justin Felty planned to go to a concert at the Bourbon Theatre and went to his best friend's apartment to hang out beforehand, said family friend Benjamin Cosier.

Former Northeast High School classmate Brannen Faulkner was showing Felty the handgun he had just purchased when he accidentally fired it in his apartment near 50th and R streets about 7:30 Friday evening, Lincoln police said. The shot hit Felty in the chest.

Justin Felty recently was discharged from the U.S. Army and was an artillery specialist at Fort Hood, his father said.

“He knew how to use a gun. That’s what makes this so hard.”

He said his son loved to tell jokes and spend time with his friends.

Justin Felty introduced his firearms hobby to Faulkner, 22, after he returned to Lincoln from the army, his dad said.

The two were like brothers, and Jeffrey Felty said his family has no ill feelings toward Faulkner.

“I’m not going to forgive him because there’s nothing to forgive,” he said. “It was a total accident.”

Faulkner bought the gun legally just hours before the accidental shooting and may not have known how to use it, police Capt. David Beggs said Friday evening.

“If he’d known there was a loaded gun inside that apartment I’m sure he (Justin) would’ve said something,” Cosier said.

Jeffrey Felty said authorities have told him no charges will be filed.

According to the shooter, "It smelled bad, real bad." Major John Petomane, Marine spokesman, said "The dead guard's flatulence was due to his PTSD and we need billions of your tax dollars to treat these jerks before we send them back to the food service industry."

Stay tuned, there are a whole mess of jerks with guns. AND YOU'RE PAYING BILLIONS FOR ALL THIS COMEDY! Have you heard the one about Iraq having WMDs?

  • MILWAUKEE (AP) — Wisconsin farmers stopped working hundreds of thousands of acres during five years of heavy farm closures that a federal report described Thursday as among the most significant in the nation.

The state lost 8,700 farms and more than 620,000 acres of farmland from 2007 to 2012, according to the Census of Agriculture, which is conducted every five years by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The United States has been losing farms for decades and some loss in Wisconsin could be expected, particularly since many dairy farmers were hard hit in 2009 by a combination of high feed and low milk prices. But the state's 11 percent decrease in the number of farms surpassed the national average of 4.3 percent.

Really funny is Manitowoc County is reeling from the loss of jobs at Kewaunee nuc plant closure and they're trying to add jobs through agriculture. Very funny! Okay, everybody all together now, "Scott Walker, where are the 250000 jobs you promised?"

  • If you don't want to get shot don't join the military.

  • Seventeen Wisconsin employees lost their jobs on Tuesday, 15 of them at the Middleton headquarters of the doll, book and accessories company. The other two jobs were eliminated at American Girl locations in DeForest and Wilmot.

The cuts represent 1.4 percent of the company's Wisconsin work force of 1,192, which includes 840 at its Dane County operations in Middleton and DeForest. Nationwide, American Girl employs nearly 3,000.

Okay, all together everybody, "Scott Walker, where are the 250,000 jobs you promised?"

  • My beggar letter this month didn't have the nickel. Lying, cheating ba$turds.
