  • Send WE Energy play money! Tell them its Walker Wampum. Fantasy money is good enough for WE Energy and its shareholders just like protesting teachers and construction workers are Jihadi John terrorists. Don't have the money to buy play money? Just make your own out of toilet paper, make sure it's made in Wisconsin of course.
All together now, "Scott Walker, where are the 250,000 jobs you promised?"
    Oh, the hilarity never ends.

  • JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri Auditor Tom Schweich, who had recently launched a Republican campaign for governor, fatally shot himself Thursday in what police described as an "apparent suicide," minutes after inviting reporters to his suburban St. Louis home for an interview.

You actually put Mltion on your resume? It must be almost 40 years since that postage stamp school went belly up.

  • NOT! Actually Apple is putting massive data centers in Ireland and Denmark. Phoenix is getting a 1.3 million sq ft Apple center and Arizona is anticipating more. GO PINNACLE WEST! lol Seems Apple wants solar power and well, WE Energy doesn't know squat about solar. Oh, look Pinnacle West has the largest solar production of any US utility. Also, Wisconsin has the 15th highest electrical expense rate in the country. WE Energy can kiss off any thought of growth from the Cloud. The Menominee tribe has had some fuzzy thought about opening a data center in Milwaukee, but it's only a pipe dream, and we know what's in the pipe.
All together now, "Scott Walker, where are the 250,000 you promised?"

Watch out for investment bank analysts. They call their brokerage and wealth management clients to buy or sell a stock because their analyst says so. Meanwhile the bank does the opposite for their own house account profiting from steering their clients to adjust the stock price.

Orion fired 40 employees in Manitowoc. Orion was formed 20 years ago to make fluorescent lights that gave twice the light at half the price. John Scribante, CEO admits fluorescent is "archaic technology" and Orion is "winding down an old business." According to the Manitowoc paper " it is not the technology that will potentially provide job security for the 203 employees, 59 on the manufacturing floor, remaining after Tuesday's cutback." So look for the 203 remaining workers to get the pink slip treatment.
Wham One: Loss of a production facility needing electricity and gas.
Wham Two: Loss of a 250residential customers with no paycheck to pay their own power bills
Wham Three: LED uses a quarter of the electricity of present methods. Look for WE Energy to be losing revenue.
Check it out. Alliant Energy Center is going LED!!!!! Dane County is installing LED outside lightning and chopping off $35,000 in annual revenue for Madison Gas & Electric. Can Milwaukee street lights be far behind? State Fairgrounds, Miller Park? It's like the fracking revolution in gas and oil drilling without the problems. LED bulbs have no mercury, emit no interference, last 20+ years. Win-win except the poor WE Energy shareholders losing a big chunk of their business.
All together now, "Scott Walker, where are the 250,000 jobs you promised?" Oh, don't look at Orion to expand, Cree, 3M and GE along are ahead of them.
Tune in tomorrow, for the surprise. Let's see, bank closings, restaurant chain closing, my I have a choice!

As I alluded to a Wisconsin businessman is closing his business and taking an out of state executive position with a paint company. For fantasy fun, compare the stock price charts of Sherwin Williams with WE Energy say for the last five years. Oh, my, Sherwin Williams has gone up 355% to 115%. What does a 149 year old paint company have that WE Energy doesn't have. GROWTH! And better management. lol

  • Naked Furniture in Brookfield calls it quits. The owner is heading out of state to an executive position with a paint company.
All together now, "Scott Walker, where are the 250,000 jobs you promised?"
Tune in tomorrow when we can manufacturing jobs at a dying company. Or maybe we should take a look at the latest jobless claims, improved for the nation and well, Wisconsin went south. AGAIN!

Dean Foods is closing down its Sheboygan dairy. After a hundred and six years of operation it just couldn't survive Walker's open for business campaign. I'm not sure if they got their power and gas from WE Energy or its upcoming acquisition Integrys. WEC can write off revenue along not just from the plant but the residences of 70 employees now jobless. Of course they're standing in line behind the 30 Sears employees and Kewaunee nuc plant employees without jobs.
All together now, "Scott Walker, where are the 250,000 jobs you promised?"
Tune in tomorrow as we return to Milwaukee for more store closings.

  • Dane County, the owner of the Alliant Energy Center, the county's convention and fair ground, is installing outside LEDs. The power savings is $35k per year. Madison Gas and Electric is going to be losing revenue as they supply the power to the center. Just a word of warning to the wise of the things to come for business in the power industry. GO LED! fair disclosure I own 3M shares and they're going in to the LED bulb business.

  • Confused? Okay, Alliant Energy is the name of the Dane County convention and fair facility. The idiots on the county board didn't bother reading the naming rights contract and practically gave the place to Alliant Energy. However, Madison Gas & Electric serves the Alliant Energy Center.
The county is installing 200 LEDs in the parking lot and outside lighting meaning a savings of $35k a year in power or a 35k loss in revenue to MGE.

  • Where to begin? Okay, let's just list them.
Office Max/Office Depot closing in Shops of Grand Ave
Ma Jolie ending it's 40 year existence in Glendale
Body Central closing in Brookfield and Southridge
    Deb Shop in Southridge
Vanity in Brookfield and in Racine
Lise and Kato's shuts down in Bayshore after 27 years.
Missing a few including the five Radio Shack stores closing, but it's just too depressing. Get the pun? Depression.
Okay, all together, "Scott Walker, where are 250,000 jobs you promised?"
Tune in tomorrow, let's get rid of a dairy.

WEC has a large fleet of coal-burners.

Klappa is from Southern, a pure coal burning ute. He lacked the expertise to get into gas and WE will be paying for it.

  • Reward will be a fantasy football team.

  • You can pick up 40 and 60 W on sale in the $4 to $6 range at hardware stores. They pay for themselves in three or four years from the power savings. They last 20+ years, great for hard to reach fixtures. Safe, especially for kids, as they don't heat up and burn fingers and easier on your AC. No mercury.
Downside is your electrical company won't like you Yeah, I know, that will send you to therapy for years dealing with your guilt.

Man, Loews has 40 and 60 W LED for about 4 or 6 bucks. Watch your local hardware stores as they have good sales, too. They pay for themselves in three years. You can touch them without burning your hand, they last for 20+ years, no mercury.

I have a windfall to invest, okay the milk money stolen from the Nigerian schools by General Wo-fat, which should be in my bank account any day now that I given him my account number and the key to my wife's chastity belt. I was going to invest in COP when I saw the dividends are not good for shareholders. Where should I invest? How about the jelly bean farm on Baffin Island? Eskimos will pay top dollar for jelly beans.

  • Douglasville, Ga. — A quiet, suburban neighborhood outside Atlanta was left reeling after a man shot six people — killing four of them, including his ex-wife and four children. The gunman was inside the home when he shot his son who survived; then he went into the street and shot his 15-year-old daughter who survived and fatally shot his youngest daughter and another girl neighbors said they hadn’t seen before.

  • Another penny increase, only a 4% increase. Even Alliant and WE Energy, boring regulated utilities, increased their dividends in the 7-8% this year.
