Give the guy a break, at least he can read off the teleprompter, last guy
(King George) couldn't do that. Morons rule, wait on Hiliary and Bill, Wow
you will be in seventh heaven with your moaning and groaning. LOL

I could give a hoot about politics. My status changes very littlle on the
party in office. Party lines mean nothing to me. I vote the person I
think will do the most good for the country--political parties be damned.
I am uneducated and do not know the meaning of ultra liberal and an
ultra conservative and am too old to look their meanings up. Amen

I must live in a different time zone than you. Driving around my neighborhood I see 2 or more
cars at every household. Construction (commercial, residential and infrastructure) going
on all over the area. You didn't address the stock market just about tripling since King
George left office. My home is worth more now than it was when the bubble burst. Your
take on Obama Care (Affordable Health Care Act) was right to begin with but now that it
is working, there is very little criticism (noted still some small sections), but overall it has
been good. Your reference to poor infrastructure is correct, tons of money over the years
(King George"s Wars) and foreign aid for which we get little return has been going on since
day one (not just under Pres. Obama). I really don't know where the figures are coming
from about the economy doing so poorly, I just don't see it that way. Reference corruption
and incompetence -- I am 75 and I don't know of one administration that was free of them.
One added note: The bailout of banks and Corporations started under King George and
was continued by O. Most of the money the govt handed out was secured by bonds,
stock, warrants, interest and dividends. The govt at last noted was showing a profit and
there was only a few concerns that did not pay up, the profit covered that. Do you
realize the damage to individual IRA'S, other pension funds, stocks had the govt not
stepped in to stablize the financial markets. Things are definitely better than you
pictured -- Take the political bs out of the equation and I think you would agree. Just
wait until Bill and Hiliary take over, if you want to bring politics into the equation, you
will really have a field day. LOL

I,m aware this is a stock message board, however there seems to be quite a bit of politics
on this board as well as others. In defense of our President, the following items are what
    I have observed:
    Housing sales up
    Home prices up
Interest rates at all time low
    Car sales up
Take notice of cars on the road, very few klunkers left
All of a sudden the hubbub about the Affordable Health Care Act (Obama Care)
has just about gone away with a few exceptions.. (and Republicans tried to cram
down our throats how bad it was)
Benghazi just about beat to death (and we have one of the culprits in custody)
    Osama killed
Stock market just about tripling since the Republican President Bush left office.
Unemployment down (note: I see help wanted signs all over. A grocery chain
in my area has jobs for $12 an hour (a third over minimum wage) and can't
fill the positions. They had a job fair and only 2 candidates showed up.) I
guess everyone wants to start out as CEO of a company. Also, I know some
people drawing unemployment and will not look for a job until the benefits run
out. If you want a job you can get one.
I know immigration is a big issue but I can vouch for the Hispanics in this country
legally or illegally, most of them are hard workers doing jobs Caucasians,
African Americans and Asians won't due, and they are great family people.
African Amercans drawing welfare and won,t work, Asians studying and taking
the white collar jobs. If you think this is a racist remark, its not, it is what I see.
There is more, We have gotten out of Bush's Iraq (sent a few troops in this past
week, key work "few". We are about to finish up in Afghanistan, AND we did not
get involved in Syria (troop wise). What in the world is not to like about O's
presidency. To not like it you are probably a Republican. Everything the GOP
has tried to bash O, they have only succeeded in stepping on their trunk. This
is my thoughts as an American and not a political junkie.

  • Additional revenue and profit from owning all of wireless should be something to
behold. Not only do they get the profits from the additional 45% but do not have
to pay VOD any dividends on that 45%. How anyone can knock this stock is beyond
    my comprehension.

    Dividend Reinvestment at Merrill Lynch

Thanks, i will look into that. Just checked my account and still no shares.

  • Howdy -- Anyone out there have PSEC in a retirement acct with M/L. Div was posted to
my IRA and marked for Reinvestment both on 22 May. AS OF 2:15 30 MAY reinvestment
in shares has not been made. M/L says PSEC has to give them the shares and also the
transfer agent has something to do with shares not being bought and posted to my acct.
I contacted PSEC and they said they paid the dividend and it was out of their hands. M/L
also said they have up to 15 days to get the shares and depending on how long it takes
will give a 1-5 percent discount of price of shares bought. I never heard of such bs and
have been in stocks over 30 years. Anyone have any idea of what's happening. Thanks
for any help you can provide.
