Pandora has 218 million outstanding shares, the vast majority held by institutions. Do you really think the PPS is influenced by those posting trash on this message board?

    ob3nj,

    Here’s some thoughts...
LPMs remain the same until 1 Jan 2015, so our biggest costs are static for Q3.

RPMs continuing to increase thanks to advertisers understanding this new mobile environment, thanks FB. Also, the Local Ad push is paying off... big time.

You can call it “seasonality” or “historical trends that occur during specific times each year” it’s your choice. In any case, listener activity begins to increase in September and continues to rise over the winter holidays (Thanksgiving/Xmas). The uninformed, who compare month to month rather than YOY will see this as extremely positive.

At this juncture, folks may finally realize that Apple’s iRadio is a failure and there is no threat from this behemoth to Pandora

As far as a buyout that soooooooo many folks are focused on, I don’t think it will happen. If and I do say “if” it happens, it won’t occur until after the CRB proceedings conclude and new rates are set for the next five years. But, it is a Wild Card and there are some major players with very deep pockets that want into this arena.

So, I think Q3 is going to be a good quarter and Q4 will be a great quarter. As for the PPS, in this tech world, massive swings both up and down are the norm. So, yes I do stand by convictions.
In any case, in about four weeks we’ll the direction.

Well, I think the subject title and the intro were address to me, but hey, so much for message board etiquette. Some folks must be really starved for attention.
In any case here you all go...

tpljmpr_50, perhaps if you hadn’t established yourself as a raving lunatic with those ridiculous conspiracy theories and your other longwinded ramblings, you might actually have some credibility on this board.

Shammdora, my old friend! You and Three Buck Bob established your credibility by your trash postings when Pandora was trading at $7.08. You still post the same old trash; the only thing that has changed over the years is Pandora’s PPS and you don’t warrant an intelligent response. Three Buck Bob is too embarrassed to post here anymore and maybe you should take a lesson from him.

ob3nj, I’d be happy to give my opinion. I’ll create a new thread, where you and I might have an intelligent exchange.

Wow, you don’t know the difference between the five year fixed rate set by the CRB and Direct Deals made with the Labels.

You should really get back on your Meds, LOL

At the risk of exchanging “intelligent” information on this board...

The Copyright Royalty Board set rates every five years and this process will begin again for Pandora next month. It is a legal proceeding with three judges whose authority falls under the Library of Congress. These judges can hear testimony, gather evidence and ask questions to determine what is the fair rate to set given “willing buyer, willing seller”. The Board will then set the royalty rates Pandora will pay for the next five years.

There’s NO NEGOTIATION involved in the process!

Now, after the rates are set by the CRB, involved parties can then NEGOTIATE direct deals.

You do realize that this was a State court ruling and only applies in the fine state of California, right?

It does set a legal precedent which might have future developments for the Moldy Oldies, but were talking a lot of “ifs”.

Q3 results are just around the corner, “if” you’re feeling lucky, why don’t you Short going into earnings?

I have seen these ridiculous and downright dumb postings here since we dipped down to $7.08. Just click on Shammdora’s posting history for a laugh. Sorry but this board could be such a great place for exchanging information on the future of IR and Pandora, but it’s not.

Sorry, but I don’t have much patients for the uninformed and ignorant “opinions” and those conspiracy theories are just “crazy”!

“Pandora's coming into its own. Decelerating usage growth is still growth, after all. Pandora has turned the corner of profitability. Analysts see net income nearly tripling to $0.17 a share this year, and nearly tripling again to $0.49 a share come 2015.”

Pandora has ZERO debt and at the end of Q2 had $437 million, which could buy a lot of Tote Bags.

    Tooooooo funny!

Your right, but they did get a “field trip” so I guess that’s why we got the $30 price target. LOL

Isn’t it kind of strange they referred to the CRB process as “negotiations”?

Beats is a sub base streaming service, $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, what a bargain! And just how are these paid subscribers going to “migrate” to Apple’s free service. And since iRadio stinks, maybe they don’t want to be “migrated”, LOL

I can just see the notice from Apple now... Hey Beats customers: We at Apple were desperate and really made a bad decision paying $3 BILLION for Beats and now we’re going to shut down the service. We also know that our iRadio stinks, but we’re going to have to “migrate” you over there to that free service anyway. But don’t worry; we’ll refund what is left of your subscription, just look for the check in the mail.

    Thanks for your product loyalty,
    The Nice People at Apple
