yesterday's down day was not for a very sensible reason. It was because of the company's exposure to Ireland...a la Brexit.
don't know but these mid cap biotechs are very volatile. rumor floating around that Sanofi may make a bid if they don't buy Medivation. But who really knows?
nice post. we need more smart, logical people like you. way to go.
thank you dil for being alive when the rest of this board is fast asleep. I did not buy more today as this drop might go on a bit more. but I will be watching.
looks to me the end of selling can go a ways. this stock could see 190 if this selling gets in high gear.
not really. tecfidera, which accounts for 95% of their revenue, is slowing and a lot of hope fora new MS drug was hanging on Lingo 1. this is a bummer. and with tecfidera going generic sooner rather than later, that spells trouble. many of their drugs to reinvigorate growth are in early stages. Biib either gets acquired, acquires someone and at the same time, faces significant downside pressure because of what I mentioned here. don't just think that selling is overdone. could be trouble ahead.
cramer, the poster boy for liking stocks at their highs, now says he prefers others instead og PANW. never heard that one before, but I should have expected it. others say PANW will be irrelevant because of AWS and MSFT. talk about kicking it when it's down. no one has any aboondagas to say these things as the stock rises.
agree. It is plain to see buybacks are not enough to get the stock price moving up. apple and gilead need new revenue streams from new products. both are stuck looking back without much to look forward to. at least that is the way the market is reacting to both of them.
great post. so refreshing to see an informative one such as yours. message boards are great when they are used for their intended purpose. thank you.
no one can predict. good company, out of favor because of ties to apple, their biggest customer. as Apple goes, so does swks. not a good situation ever.
