A breakout is confirmed with higher than normal volume continuing to keep the PPS up a few days after the initial surge...the follow through confirmation. IBD talks about this. I do expect it to happen.
I remember when I first started accumulating this position....at .06 per share. At that time it went all the way down to .01 a share. Had to sell my holdings but started accumulating again at .20. Glad to see it beginning to get some attention. Very good product with an increasing market. Also, I added a little more at 1.00, truly, dollar cost averaging!
I agree with what you say, but I also think that the street is going to recognize how well ABMD is positioned for growth given its current US market penetration, proprietary technology, future technology, target markets (i.e., Asia), and a healthy cash reserve that continues to grow. Having reread the cc transcript I see positives ahead for ABMD.
I was impressed by the conference call, more so this one than previous ones. Good vision, good growth, and a good plan. Well done ABMD!
Surprised at how it has come back so far. Regardless, I closed out my position without a loss.
I see what you are saying, I added to my position at $18.87 yesterday. I thought it was a great buying opportunity.
Based on very optimistic comments made during the last quarter CC I think this quarter's numbers are going to be impressive. Thus, I think the MM's are walking the PPS down to accumulate more in advance of the earnings release.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Oh, I see. Chasing that "few percent" fluctuation...getting out and getting in, short terms gains taxes, not being able to deduct losses because you're back in at just the right time. Chasing those pennies and losing those dollars. You're clue has been received.
I'm just going to re-post what I posted in a response to another poster questioning the price increase:
"IMO what justifies this increase, beyond the obvious positives and the targeted 40% year over year growth projection is hidden in the numbers and indirectly referred to during the conference call. What is it you ask...that the loss could have been much less than (.14) if they had wanted it to be. They appear to be practicing what some of the best companies have done for years; report just enough to beat the estimate, build cash for a rainy day, and reinvest into R&D and/or emerging technologies/markets, and as was the case this quarter, compensate talent for a job well done. Thus, they appear to be in control of their operations and not controlled by their operations."
Furthermore, I think as the investment community becomes more acquainted with this company, which given the recent attention they should, it should continue to rise. So I'm holding my shares. Best investing to you.
