Thanks Quinne for the nice reply. Barbara suffers from chronic pain caused by the two auto accidents. Even with pain meds it isn't easy. Among other things she also suffers from Fibromyalgia which causes amoung other things a lack of energy. There isn't a way she would enjoy a cruise and I couldn't enjoy one without her.
Just saw Kevin Sheenan on Undercover Boss and the episode reminded me of the first and only cruise I've been on. I'm now 70 still in good health and remember the cruise and some of the ports of call. If was a 14 day cruise to the Caribbean and I can't remember of not one negative. It was the best vacation I've ever had. The food was beyond wonderful. The service was even better. The only food you had to pay for was the snack bar which offered many things and the alcoholic beverages served on the ship were charged for. My first wife and I took that cruise on NCL in the early 70's. Can't remember the ship name for sure. There was the Southward, Skyward, Seaward and the last doesn't come to mind. I think they had a total of 4 ships back then. We went on the maiden voyage of I'm guessing the Southward and that was 1972, 73 or 74. Old age is wonderful, it is nostalgic to think back and remember but some things are sure fuzzy. There was one negative about the cruise. I entered the ship weighing 185 and left the ship weighing 206. I'm six foot two inches tall so the weight didn't look bad on me except I couldn't zip up my pants but a little over half way.
For the last 13 years I've been married to the most wonderful woman of my life. During that time Barbara has had two severe auto accidents. After the first accident she just couldn't continue teaching. She is the love ofmy life and I only wish I had taken her on an NCL cruise while she was able. We have the $$$ but sad to say Barbara will never be up to taking any cruise.
I'm goin south Martha! When I get to Juarez will you be there to meet me? I know that is your second home. One kennel in Juarez and one in El Paso. Have you learned to bark yet? They say you were awesome at the dog kennel Christmas party last year.
Murtha I've been out of PBY for more than a year. I've got my $$$ in a coffee can in the back yard. Everybody hangs on every word that comes out of your mouth. You are just so impressive. What other stocks do you like. Please Please do tell us.
I check this board about every 3 months to see if you still love me. I'm sure glad you've been thinking of me. Tires at $28 are a steal. To bad for me, I paid over $120 a tire for 2 tires when I was at PBY last. Oh well... I have to say those tires have held up wonderfully. I have about 25,000 on the tires and they still look new and I love the steel valve stems they put in. It is easy when I put air in the tires with my compressor. Can't complain when I was there about 2 years ago they were very busy but I only had to wait about an hour.
As to the stock market, I'm 100% in cash and waiting for at least a 10% correction. If PBY gets to 9 I'll probably buy 5 shares. That's all I can afford. If you weren't such an expensive date I could buy more. If you liked Ol Roy instead of Alpo life would sure be easier.
The guys down at the Juarez dog pound really miss you. Last year when you were there for the Christmas Dog show you were the star! You really made an impression. Martha you really need to visit them more often!
