Do you know when their first earnings are due out? I like this company. I like working with the former Russians over the Indians. Very different. They are way better.
It worries me that VZW is now pushing Samsung in place of the NVTL units. Not sure if this is 100% the case, but it sure seems that way. Samsung as a little deeper pockets to bribe their way in.
I hope we hear some more good news regarding the Hard Drive industry using NVTL in mass production units. That would make me feel better.
Does anyone actually know anything positive about this company? I bought this based on the new spokesfolks and promising future compaigns, but I have a few folks who work there telling me things are grim. Note: These folks drink at my local bar and are not "insiders", in the sense that they have any knowledge of the actually numbers. They have just been saying that they don't think the programs are going quite as planned. Which can also be seen by the huge discounts. If NTRI is giving you meals for $2 per meal, how much can they possibly be making on them? Their meals are pretty high quality.
Anyway, as far as I know, they could be crushing their numbers, and these discounts are just to add extra to the already good numbers, however I am very suspect at this point.
Once again, I know nothing. Looking for someone who does.
I do know that Weight Watchers, Jenny, and NTRI's commercials all look almost exactly the same. That probably isn't a good thing and probably benefits WW the most since they are the most well know of the three.
Anyway, just my 1.5 cents.
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas on where this thing is going? I have no feel for progress.
Is LOGM crushing it, or have the fallen into a rut?
CTXS - has been on fire.
Bombgar - seems like a really great company, but don't know much about them.
Webex/CSCO - A strong force, but getting a beating from CTXS.
LOGM - ???
They have great stuff, but I wonder if too many folks are just using their free stuff w/o the need to buy? I would love to hear some info from someone who knows!
Thanks in advance
Facebook spent $606 million for servers, network equipment, storage infrastructure and building the data centers to house them in.
Facebook expects to triple that spend to $1.8 billion this year.
I wonder what percent of that might go to FIO?
According to the company’s IPO prospectus:
•11,271,264 shares were unlocked December 19.
•Another 804,799 shares are unlocked February 11, 2012.
•And another 43,416,098 shares will be unlocked February 15, 2012.
The company has 86.3 million shares outstanding.
You would be wiser to own both.
XenServer is starting to take business from VMware.
However, the bigger thing to consider is that the whole pie is getting bigger, so even if they are stealing some share from one another, they are both growing.
CTXS is hot. VMW doesn't have GoToMeeting and Netscaler.
For Application Delivery and VDI CTXS still wins.
VMW is still the king of Server Virtualization.
Keep your eyes on FIO if you want to see who wins regardless of which company is the leader. Software companies shouls fear FIO because theyr products make servers so powerful that folks wont need as many thus meaning less licenses. FIO is Fusion IO. They make storage that is as fast as RAM.
Word on the street is that sales has introduced a huge unplanned discount on the product.
I am assuming they are taking this as a sign of weakness...
Or they made their goal numbers and now are putting the icing on the cake.
I don't know enough to have an opinion. It could be technical or completely unrelated as well.
VMW can thank FIO for not selling as many licenses. With FIO Cards in the servers, you don't need as many servers.
On the flip side, now companies can virtualize things they couldn't before due to performance issues.
I think LOGM should.
Or maybe CTXS, but they just bought sharefile.
However, with VMW having Mozy, seems like it would make sense to even the playing field. Or how about CSCO to add to their Webex Products.
Really they should be open game for anyone.
I wonder how they will do if they stay on their own. I really don't hear much about them anymore.
I was put onto GGN by someone. Maybe on this board...
They pay a nice monthly dividend based off of Gold Companies and Natural Resource Companies.
I don't really know much about Gabelli and their track record.
It is a nice dividend, but I wonder what 2012 will hold for its supporting companies.
I would love to hear some thoughts on the topic if there are any folks out there who follow it.
Gives you something to do while AWP slowly churns.
Yeah, let's face it. They make the Mifi which has sold like hot cakes by Verizon and all the big guys and they can't even make that work. How much of these hard drives would they have to sell to have an impact.
However, maybe... just maybe, this will cause Seagate or the likes make a move to buy out NVTL for the technology because it would close down the ability for the competition to jump in and offer something similar without a lot of effort.
I suppose I should look at the PRs and actually read them before posting news from CES...
It is interesting that this news has not moved the stock more. Maybe the markets aren't big enough?
Here is a little article that might give you a little more hope in a NVTL Buyout or partnership...
Then again, it could prove further doom for NVTL if they fail to partner with these other folks.
