I feel like this thread is slightly racist. I am the last guy that enjoys having a foreigner on the end of the phone that is hard to understand. However, some companies do it well. For example, Citrix has blown me away with their Indian Support. I want to be angry and frustrated with them, but then they get me answers and follow through almost to the point of being too thorough.
Let's flip this topic around... What if they actually go 8x8 into the Indian Market? That would be a pretty big deal.
We just need people that are effective. I don't care how funny they talk or what color their skin is. Show me the money.
I would love to hear some honest feedback about your experiences. Also, what are your typically customer sizes? Do you sell any other Hosted VoIP Products, and if so, how do they compare, etc.
Not looking for cheerleaders or bashers, just actual experiences. Thank you!
pmkhoopster - Do you use or sell 8x8 products? Just curious. I have dealt with this company as a user and sold their stuff. They are actually pretty atrocious to deal with. They are all nice guys that sounds like they smoke a lot of pot, but they sure can't deal with the enterprise customers or equipment. If I ran this company I would buy up a company on the East Coast to help with support and enterprise implementations. When 8x8 works it is fantastic, but as soon as you bring enterprise equipment into the picture, it gets messy. At least that has been my findings. I'd love to hear if you have used their stuff, and also if you use any other VoIP products/hosts on the market for comparison. I stopped selling 8x8 due to the headaches. However, I'd love to keep selling their goods from a financial perspective.
I hope you are correct. The nice thing about these guys is that that have a nice offering. The potentially bad part is that it is all 3rd party stuff they put together. I don't think there is much IP to give them any massive valuation.
There is certainly more value here than the stock is showing, but they likely need to sell each component individually, unless they can attract someone like Windstream, CoreDial, 8x8, or Ring to just buy them outright , and then sell off what they don't want.
Windstream owns Allworx and could really use some help there. This would be a huge boost to their offerings.
8x8 could use some east coast support folks that know what they are doing, but would also greatly benefit from and Enterprise Implementation Team. Not to mention the network.
I feel like this company gets no love outside of its little group of insiders. With IoT as hot as it is and the platform they have to enable it, you'd think this would be getting a lot more attention. They have all the right things... SaaS, Cloud, IoT, etc.
It would be interesting for them to partner with MiFI (Novatel and or SWIR) for the IoT side of things.
Why isn't there more hype about this company?
Sentiment: Strong Buy
If you can get your minds off of MiFi and focus on "The Internet of Things", you will start to see the true potential of this company.
I just ready an article that mentioned SWIR as the only true "Pure Play" on the IOT.
IOT is the next bubble. No questions.
Let's hope MiFi/NVTL can make their case as the other "pure play" and ride way way up.
I don't know if I fully buy that SWIR is the purest play on the IOT, but let's hope others think so, and MIFI takes a ride as well as maybe even stands out as a company with the most to gain in the sector.
I personally thing LOGM has a very interesting place in the IOT world as well.
Anyway, "Internet of Things". Let's talk about it a lot and get the buzz going.
