This begs the question, where does there value come from, and who would want to buy them? The local companies being Evolve IP, Broadview, and Coredial (which come to mind first) might have some interest in parts of the company, Windstream already has their hands full but could maybe find a play to enhance their Allworx Platform. I just don't know. I suspect they would need to sell in pieces. In this case the sum of the parts might be less than the value of the individual nuggets.
I want to like this company, but I am having some trouble figuring out what they are doing. I think they have a few smart folks there. They had some great cash cows in place, and they were moving into a new and fast growing niche. However, they don't really own much IP from what I understand. They do have a bit of a network, but I am not sure what it is all worth.
Would another VoiP Company find any value in buying these guys? If so, why and what would it be? I had thought one of the west coast VOIP Guys would buy them up for some East Coast Support and presence, but at this point, I doubt it.
Not sure what to make of them. If they could just make a play at Office 365 it would be pretty nice.
I stopped following these guys for a bit and just saw a huge dividend in my account. What in the world are they doing/saying? They need to pay out cash before they burn it and run the company into the ground? Were they essentially just cashing out for themselves before they get removed from running the company? Just not sure what is happening, but I don't feel like these guys have a real clear plan.
Anyway, not trying to be negative. Just curious if anyone really knows what is happening here. I clearly haven't been following or reading the news.
Maybe they are setting up for a quick sale, but most acquiring firms don't mind cash...
