    Wallis and other longs....

    Wallis...
You seem to be good at researching.
I think Yahoo may still have a way of creating private message board where
those interested would go there and be accepted or rejected by the administrator
through email. If you or twobitloui would start such a thing, I would be interested
in joining the group. We can use this message board to spread the word.
It would of course be an Intel enthusiasts message board mostly made up of longs,
but would not punish those with some legitimate information filled concerns.
The good thing is that longs would not always have to sift through the trash to find
some decent posts filled with some information. Cheering Intel stock of course
without any attacks would be refreshing also. Bottom line is that the psycho's from the
public boards could be identified and exterminated.
I would do it myself, but for the current month I have some projects to take care of along with
    long travel.
    Hope you have the time.

Yahoo finance does not have SA articles anymore.
If you want to read some of the articles regarding Intel from
authors such as Russ Fischer, Google finance still has them
under INTC ticker. Hopefully Google finance gets more and more traffic
and decides to have some other version of message posting on stock.
One that is better in keeping away #$%$ that Yahoo can't seem to filter
    out.

  • Looks like we cleared the $34 mark once again. And this time, little or no buyback by Intel was done.
Imagine how strong stock gains will be when Intel pulls the trigger on another 5 to 10 million share buyback
    in a single trading day.
Tomorrow ex div day. Intel may just decide to buy a boat load of shares tomorrow.
Shorts will never know when Intel will strike.

    The Humpty Report

I don't have any puts now on ARMH, but ARMH puts have made me money in the past.
Overall, I don't want to invest in the stock either was. But why AE would hedge his Intel
long position by going long on ARMH also make very little to no sense. Especially now as
Intel's position is getting stronger and stronger in making an offensive in ARM's so called
ultra mobile market. Maybe will be cautious going short on ARMH, but will never decide to go
long on the stock. Not worth staying up at nights worrying what the stock will do next day with such
    high PE ratio.

  • paul.ottelini by paul.ottelini Aug 2, 2014 10:27 AM Flag

Dow down 2.7% for the week.
    Qualcomm down 4.7%.
    ARMH down 1.7%.
Intel down only 1.5% for the week.
Intel performing better than "new tech".
Truth is, Intel is the most advanced tech company.
No 14nm issues and its 10 is doing great and will follow
the 14 nm going into better phones, better 2in1's, and
better tablets if they are still necessary.

    Intel Holding Up Well

I will start now and add more later. Intel has made me pretty rich so far. So lots of money to play with. Wonder how the investors are doing who shorted Intel all the was as it climbed from $24 to $34. Would hate to be in their shoes right now cause I would be broke.

Yes. Intel is holding up rather well. I also decided to add to my position today as I see this stock reaching $40, possibly by end of this year.
I also wanted to state that these clowns who have been wrong countless times about Intel going down use days like today, where the whole market is being dealt with profit taking, to try to get under your skin with annoyance or other longs' skin. I'm finding it easier and easier to ignore them as Intel has made me and other longs I'm sure, richer and richer during the run up from the low $20's to the current price. They deserve to lose their money for being so childish when they short the stock as Intel's huge buyback plans will bite them in the rear end pretty hard. They just don't realize that $8 Billion worth of purchasing shares within a 6 month period is something huge.

Some pathetic shorts claiming some sort of victory today.
Market down huge today, yet Intel still holding up pretty well.
Here are the facts since Intel released earnings.
    Dow down 2.8%
    Intel UP 7%

And any selling pressure that is tried by shorts, Intel's commitment
to buy over $8 Billion worth of shares from now till the end of this year will
bite the shorts pretty hard right in the rear end. A 10 million share single day purchase
by Intel can place about a 50 cent to $1 lift to the stock. And this can happen about 4 times
a month on average. Or more days if Intel decides to purchase about 5 million shares per any given
    day.

You're as clueless about who I am as you were about how much of a bargain Intel was in the $20's. You obviously have nothing of value to offer to this board. So do yourself and everyone here a favor and disappear from this board. Didn't know exactly who you were, but you seem to act more and more like the original yet very pathetic Lucy who more recently may be using the ID's pumperkryptonite and itakebackmyapology. Could even be acting like the psycho marcopubio. Get a life already and leave this board. We are too busy making money. Your posts are not powerful enough to frustrate the longs on this board, especially when our gains have reached such new heights.

    Intel Investor Meeting - 11/20/2014

With recent activity on stock, looks like the earnings call could be the biggest catalyst.
The investor meeting could be very big also.

Well, if Wallis continues to make some serious profits on Intel, hopefully he will have enough money to buy a big stake in the company of Yahoo and prevent lunatics who post, as he said, no content junk on this board.
I don't know the guy personally, but I have no problem with him making billions off of his Intel investments.
Cause if he makes a ton of money staying long on Intel, I will make quite a bit myself. Not complaining at all at $34 for now.

The smartphone growth was pretty obvious and the huge drop in iPod sales obvious also, given the fact that if anyone buys an iPhone, they will have little to no need for iPod. Hence the real cannibalization is happening within Apple where sales are clearly going from the iPod to the iPhone.

As for the biggest takeaways for me as an Intel shareholder, is the loss in sales for the iPad of 9% and the huge growth in sales of the Mac by 18%. Two bits of good news for Intel.

Thanks for your response. I agree.
And I think it's safe to say that this issue that Qualcomm is having with licensing in China could be
considered as good news for Intel in taking market share faster than expected.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

  • I think the China issue is the main reason stock taking a big hit.
From what you understand about the 3G or LTE licensing issue along with the fact that Intel could eventually be a very big force in this area, do you think a good number of Chinese companies will go with or look forward to working with Intel instead with modems?

Remember the talk about Intel dropping to fill gap to $28 something?
How can anyone believe at this point that Intel has any chance of dropping
down to $28 in the next six months at least?
Over $8 Billion worth of guaranteed buybacks will make it almost impossible now
for stock to drop by $6.
I think that the gap to $28 is history. It's just not going to happen.
Those who waited for that so called gap to fill missed a very nice ride.
    About a 20% ride.

At least today's earnings numbers from Apple proves that Intel is the clear winner.
Biggest growth driver was the mac which uses nothing but premium Intel processors.

That's what I was thinking today but also expected it prior to today.
But you are right. iPads can only grow in the future and eventually saturate
if they sell for very cheap prices.
    We're talking less than $200.

Many dual OS hybrid fanless laptops would eliminate the need to buy
a tablet on its own. In other words, ARM based tablets will continue to lose
    market share.
