bridge, glad to hear that you've finally reached retirement. For those of you who haven't retired take it from bridge and myself, you wont like it so keep working. Besides that, we still need people paying into the Social Security fund.
wpd, wall street will not put up with 4-5% for the next 10 years, they are too greedy for that. Somehow they will manipulate politicians, the fed, whoever they need to get the returns that will make them richer. By the way, where is OYSter? I find it hard to believe that he dropped off the face of the earth. I hope all is well with you!
It isn't any different than the price of gasoline. The price of crude oil goes up and the oil companies immediately raise the price of gas. The price of crude goes down and it usually takes 2 to 3 weeks for the oil companies to lower the price of gas. I think it's what you call, running a business!
in other words wells fargo says the added margin rate calculation is a company secret. some factors seem to be a customer's FICO score, and maybe time with the bank.
What a crock of **&%! Reminds me of that old laundry commercial. "Ancient Chinese Secret" The margin above or below prime is ALWAYS stated in the note. The margin may be larger or smaller for different customers based on their FICO also known as risk based pricing. Man, where do these people come from? Obviously they should stick to their own trade.
