GET A LIFE,the government ought to change the tax code so companies could afford to stay in the country. You sound just like a politician, you live off of the taxpayers, you vote for the affordable care act,but exempt yourselves from it,GET A LIFE. A big change is coming, you had better prepare for it,the free lunch will be no more.
I don't believe there will be a change in the dividend, you have to remember that AGN is a very profitable company. I believe there will be a dividend change when PFE spins off their older products, further I believe this will be a spin off to existing shareholders. A few years back MO split off PM and KFT to their existing shareholders,I think PFE will do the same thing,no guarantee though.
If AGN buys PFE there will be no tax,if PFE buys AGN there will be a tax if your cost basis is less than the PFE price at the time of the merger. After the merger your new cost basis will be the PFE price at the time of the merger. Hope this helps, this is for US taxes only.
Not really, remember AGN is a very profitable company, and the 40 billion in debt that's talked about will be mostly covered by the 36 billion they receive from the sale of their generic division to TEVA. The 36 billion is after taxes,PFE will be one heck of a company.
