Read what you have posted, the big word is MAY,which means to me there may not. If AGN is the purchaser there may be a non taxable exchange,of course at this time nobody knows.
In your original post you state "yes"i have read"big tax bill"which is vague at best, and what I'm saying is that may not be true.
I also have PFE in a couple of accounts, one is a Roth account and understand the tax code. I don't quite understand how you "have read big tax bill"when we haven't been told how the buyout is going to be done. My thought is if AGN is the buyer, the tax code would be IRISH as AGN is an Irish company, not the U.S. tax code if PFE were the buyer. Hope this helps.
Just think of the taxes that will be paid on the dividends alone, kind of makes you sick HUH.I must admit ,you sound like what I would call a free rider,do you as an individual pay any income tax,or do you depend on the government????
You should understand that Pfizer PLC will be paying plenty of taxes here in America, the corporate tax is just one of many taxes paid by corporations in country.Your reply sounds like that of a Politician, are you one?????
