I saw a post where someone wanted to boot to the desktop & bypass the start ui (tiles) and were waiting for 8.1
by ineedastock •May 20, 2013 11:55 AMOr, you can try Linux instead. Most Linux distros boot from a live CD or DVD. I recommend Linux Mint for a more traditional desktop interface. If you like it, install it from the live distro. If not, just reboot and you are back to #$%$ Windows 8 Metro.

by repukeslove2lie •May 11, 2013 1:37 PMNo news is good news? OCZ will never have to report anything, as long as NASDAQ keeps giving them extensions. I see several accounting problems.
Look at the customer reviews on Newegg over the past few years. Lots of customers complained that they never got their mail in rebates. Accounting for rebates is a big issue for OCZ.
How about the number of products that were returned defective, like Agility 2/3, Vertex 2/3, Vertex Plus, Octane and Petrol SSD's? Ok, not all of them were defective, but there were enough to be an accounting problem. This didn't help OCZ's reputation either.
And of course there's the "Death of the PC". PC sales are down 14%. That means lower sales volume for PC component manufacturers, but this problem isn't unique to OCZ. Microsoft isn't helping this problem either with the Windows 8 Metro fiasco. Maybe it will help if Microsoft brings back the Desktop and Start Menu in Windows Blue?Sentiment: Sell
