Thank you , nice of you. Since I am in southern France and spoken English (and maybe written) not so good, can you please note down essential reason, not too technical. Simply the reasoning. Regards,

When the report of the internal investigation came out it was 1 hour ahead of market opening in US. Still more than 3 Million shares were traded pre market! My questions are: Why on earth is a small group of investors/investment banks legally allowed to trade pre - and after market?? Secondly why is a report like the internal investigation not published during market hours, creating level playing field for all involved?
This pre market trading opportunity has bothered me on numerous occasions and always to the disadvantage of the "common investor". Our standards?

I am not supporting MW but your remarks are quite discriminatory. Third world countries? Your own USofA is becoming quickly one! You write:Wrongdoing "by our standards"!! Your standards? Those are the most criminal in the world, Enron, Mortgage Junk sold as triple A ,causing havoc in all the world, lying about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and killing hundreds thousands of people! And on and on it goes with your USofA. Your standards? Never!

Can't blame you to get out. This is not investing. I was out 2 weeks ago but got in again after the "no fraud paper". This action in the stock was not expected, nor logical. But since I am in for a big stake I will hold my position. The most important lesson is just to stay away from small companies with issues. Better be safe than sorrow. A stock like Softbank grows nicely and no idiotic drops in pps nor idiotic surprises. Closed out on many positions today in smaller companies. No more "story and come back " stocks for me!!!

  • Just came from the Galena Pharmaceuticals board, closed my position in that stock with a sound profit. But also on that board this "expert" Acclamiznet is babbling about bull trap . A born negative or just a lousy investor or just lurking on boards. Ignore this person.

NQ is unasked, connected and mentioned in an article on Montage Technology that has been ordered to stop production. Completely unrelated but still published on NQ Yahoo-board. This smells like fish and cheap psychological games. On the other hand we can conclude that the short positions do "anything" to get the pps down, which is logical, and try to cover. That in turn should bring the management and auditor to the responsibility to prevend further loss of credibility, and issue the 20F without further delay. Of course they are working on that but to investors not sitting in those rooms frustrating. The common thing in investing: wait and hope a company performs well. No influence for investors what so ever!

Just spotted here in southern France a big shiny bird, high up in the sky, with a package / NQ's 20 F Filing on its way from the China's to the America's (SEC). What a beautiful sight! Excuse: Might have had 1 Mojito too many. Bloody hot here.

  • pere_joseph pere_joseph Jun 9, 2014 6:06 AM Flag

I was out of this stock 2 weeks ago but back in, full!! No way Deloitte and Sherling sign off the document proving there is no fraud if there was doubt!. So PWC will feel comfortable signing off UNQUALIFIED. Management of NQ is handling this matter clever. They announced an investment in FL Mobile and raising forecast. They were allowed to do THAT but no word about investigation and 20 F. They are in close contact with the SEC explaining the process and the time line. Suddenly the whole puzzle comes together and the PPS will be in the 20-30 USD range. This is the most likely scenario for now. And the Motley Fool does NOT advise to give up on NQ. Cherio

Surprised but happy with NQ today.

What gives you the right to suggest controlls are better in the US than in China? The USA has sold the whole world junk mortgage packages signed off triple A by US Accountants and Insurers. The USA is the financial SCAM on the earth!! And the tirans bombing innocent people in Iraq because of the threat of chemical weapons that never existed! The USA is causing a lot of hardship in the world but crying crocodile tears on the beach of Normandy for the fight for freedom in Europe in a war they SUPPORTED. Brrr USA!!! Just ask where the US flags are on the moon, hahaha.

Although I believe that you are an intelligent person you show signs of the most dangerous habit in the stockmarket, holding on to one's views, fighting the tape, ignoring evidence of the contrary, don't want to see the other side of the story and sticking to one's own view , for better or worse. You MUST be right/correct. Well I took a position on the sidelines and hopped in and out of this stock. The time between the actual filing of the 20 F and the expiry date became too long for me and did not want to run the risk of this stock being halted. Now I understand. The formal investigation is formalized, accountants firms have signed off. Now the regular 20 F will be filed. In good coordination with the SEC. Expectations are raised for the companies earnings. Renewed interest from the investment firms and the stock will find its way back up. I took a - for my standards- more than average LONG position yesterday around the 9.80 mark. Got out a week ago at 7.6 so a pity. But I have learned not to fight the tape for one's own self esteem. Hope to enjoy a nice ride up!

Just checked Bison Capital and they seem to be OK. So they invest a small amount in FL Mobile for which a similar bank guarantee is received in case no IPO within a year. FL Mobile is spun off from NQ and NQ bears the burden of the mess they are in. FL Mobile was signing the contracts anyhow. So I stay on the sidelines of NQ untill there is a clean audit .

Curiosity, see how it works out. Don't forget I was in this stock all the ride up and to certain extend on the way down. Sold and bought back at what I thought were low good entry points. It was not and now I have sold completely. I would have preferred the stock to reach 33. Now I keep on checking. In the case of a clean audit and no fraud this stock will fly and than I will participate. So I will be here whether you like it or not. But the tape tells me it is safer to be in Softbank than NQ. My choice.

You can CAP LOCK as much as you like and your pal "evan" can call me names BUT the truth is in the tape. And that is very bad for long investors in NQ. Sometimes people get blinded by the light. Or gambling. But this is no investing. Look at Fab Universal with the ticker symbol- #$%$(probably not a coincidence) at its chart. It mirrors NQ. People could not believe that a company backed by Jim Rogers could be a scam. It was. Halted and money gone. I would never take that risk and that is my message. Nothing more nothing less. No offense to anyone.

  • pere_joseph by pere_joseph May 28, 2014 7:00 AM Flag

Holding or shorting shares in this company has nothing to do with investing but has become pure gambling! After all the seemingly good news after Carson B came up with his accusations no new big business news anymore. Silence of the lamb. Seen this with Fab Universal, backed by Jim Rogers. Suddenly delisted and your investment is gone. Thought the run ups in the last couple of days here were of leaked pre info. Seems more as manipulated run ups to dump shares. Better to be safe than sorry. Time enough to board the train again when the sky has been cleared. For me too much fog and smog, typical for Chinese surroundings. (no I'm not a disguised short, nor bashing. there are simply better opportunities and safer around). No gambling no glory. No, correct.

    How Long is a chinese!?

  • I find it highly unusual that suddenly the activity spikes up inclusive the pps. Info leaked about the filing of the audit? Highly probable and positive (clean audit?). Nibble some extra shares

  • pere_joseph by pere_joseph May 23, 2014 10:21 AM Flag

New to this board. Small long position. I believe the company is doing well and on all normal measure points undervalued. But it is a very small company and Chinese on top of that. A lot of ¨investors¨ have been burned by investing in Chinese small caps ( Fab Universal, Longtop etc), delisted and total loss. Investors interested in China Borun have bought already and some might find this a good opportunity to off load. Normal daily volume is quite low. The company has to prove itself in the time to come that they are not a fly by night and that no accounting issues arise(as eg with NQ). Untill then it will have to deal with an undervaluing of their business. Big investors will never buy into such a small cap so the momo has to come from retail investors. Not an easy run. So lets see where this stock is headed in the coming weeks; But I don;t expect much anymore. When the stock doesn¨t move on a day like today where is the push up coming from?

  • Near Term risks remain high and therefor we downgrade the stock to 35. What is the difference between near term and long term risk? What a non sensical statement. I wrote puts today June 35 and 37.5 and bought shares in the lower 37. I have confidence in the business model, competition is ok, as always is, and a partner will definitely appear alongside the bride SODA in the near term. To me today is an opportunity to buy. And here in Europe the brand SODA is quickly gaining recognition. Cherio

Not so complicated. Market has potential. Maybe more in Europe and other outside US areas. Good currency wise. Earnings beat lowered expectations and guidance confirmed. Add Just another little flavor from Starbucks,Dr Snapple or Pepsi and you have a USD 55 stock. So shorts need to cover , short is not exactly a slam dunk anymore. Would not like to be short ,hearing Starbucks bought 15 % of SODA. But nice for me. Cherio
