Try to ignore the morons like rusty and snake_weasel as much as possible. What these two morons, and add sammy to the equation, don't realize is that ALL the other OEMs are combing through ALL safety-related NHTSA and customer complaints, like GM has been doing for the past several months. We will see record levels of recalls and probably a record level of vehicles recalled this year.
I predict that toyoDUH will regain the annual crown as they have OWNED it since '09.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
I wonder if executive's heads at Takata will roll. They absolutely HOSED the Japanese OEMs with the air bag module (specifically, the propellant). I would be ticked off, as an OEM, that a supplier quality issue forced the recall of MILLIONS of toyoDUH, honduh and nissan vehicles (not to mention any other OEMs that use Takata for that part). Could this bankrupt Takata? It could be possible, especially if all the OEMs demand that Takata pay for all the recall charges.
I knew it was just a matter of time before toyoDUH went after the RECALL KING title.
Add another 2.3M hunks to the pile that will only grow bigger as the year goes on.
I'll project toyoDUH will surpass ALL OTHER OEMs for the total # of vehicles recalled in 2014. Just like in 2013 and 2012 and....
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Good stuff man. I wonder if webby will reconsider his current MORONIC position...
You've gone over the edge now webby.
"Three years of buys and this GM loser has gone up a whole one dollar from IPO"
Are you REALLY still spouting this B.S.? It WAS a buy - the entire time from the IPO until now. What happened to GM shares in 2012 and in 2013? Do you remember MORON?
"lets see all the GM good jobs gone.Idiot personality_less. From over 2 million in 1950 to 600.000 thousand today. GM made the city than killed the city."
So, in what universe do you think that GM provided the difference in the jobs lost in Detroit? Heck, even if there were suppliers tacked on?!?!? Didn't we already have a discussion about how many actual GM jobs were EVER in Detroit? Was it 1.4M to account for the loss in 1.4M residents?
P.S. You're a MORON...
"The major financial periodicals are saying it: GM is one very sick piece of #$%$ company."
Please share which ones webby - we all want to know. Apparently they don't have much pull, these MAJOR financial periodicals because GM is still going strong. Sales are strong. Share price is recovering from the trip down to $33 ville.
You're all wet webby - just like those financial RAGS you must be reading...
and what the F does this have to do with GM?
Absolutely freakin' NOTHING.
"Yet, not once do I recall you making that point to jeyedolt when he brings up WWII GM deeds. Not once."
Wow webby - you're losing it OR just grasping as straws here.
It's SO not related to the topic, AT ALL.
As far as replying to Jeye - I do indeed share when I think he's wrong. I don't recall wasting my time (maybe ones) for jeye bringing up the old history stuff he likes to.
"But why is the share price holding up as we find out they killed more and more people?"
Really? You have actual facts that you can back up your ridiculous statement? What about of the original 13 where the accident reports indicate that the ignition switch was ON?
You've got to bring more to the table than CONJECTURE or PERSONAL OPINIONS...
what's your point bonehead? toyoDUH was in the SAME situation recently. You DO know that toyoDUH recalled over 35 MILLION vehicles globally since '09, right? And, that no one else is even close? AND, that they'll announce more this year along with the other non-GM OEMs?
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it...
"Saying the Vega was a horrible car is now pathetic?
Wow, Percy, you're really slipping over to the Dark Side more often lately."
Naw - that ain't it webby. But, even bringing up the Vega was stupid - it means nothing regarding discussing GM here today. It would be no different on the toyoDUH board bringing up #$%$ toyoDUH products from the 60s and 70s - it's irrelevant to the products that toyodUH now produces (which are not that great - the 35+ MILLION vehicles they've recalled globally since '09).
Why is anyone who doesn't agree with your views somehow immature?
webby - take the hint, will ya?
"not a single reply to an honest world record."
I assure you that GM is not proud of that number but I expect that other OEMs are absolutely SCRAMBLING to be as thorough as GM has been so far this year.
The other OEMs have indeed been put on notice, just like your freakin' IQ. They'll all be playing catch-up and you'll see that this will be a RECORD year for ALL OEMs and recalls and a RECORD year for your MORONIC posts.
"Nothing will bring victims back - how does a stepfather deserve so many millions. Something is wrong here!"
I had to re-read your post and make sure it wasn't the beginning of a new basher ID...
I agree 100%. I think there is no argument that there was a tragic accident and that some lives were lost. What bothers me, quite a bit actually, is the lack of personal accountability for SOME of the drivers (who were drunk, not wearing a seat belt, speeding, etc.).
I honestly believe that the compensation program administrator will weigh the FACTS of each case and determine was is reasonable for those that wish to participate in that program.
We'll get more of the facts and maybe even some awared amounts over time.
"Hmm....I wonder what the chances were of anyone not only noticing, but documenting, the position of the ignition switch.....................in a fatal GM car crash 10 years ago."
I would think, webby, that the black box data recorder would note the state of the ignition...
