The back-and-forth razzing on this board, even the occasional personal attacks, are usually entertaining. But pulling in the widow of a suicide seems pretty tasteless. Sorry.
Ted, I wasn't quite sure whether your post was intended to be serious or humorous, but then I got to the line about the "top notch investigative reporters at Seeking Alpha," and the jig was up. Well played, sir, well played. You almost had me.
Bummer indeed. I was a little excited there for a minute. Still, at least we're up a few cents at market open. Here's hoping for a good day. Cheers!
Recently opened cafes in Colorado and Washington state are doing brisk business selling "edibles." HLF should consider producing and marketing "drinkables." Being first to market with cannabis shakes could be a blockbuster.
I am well under water and staying long simply out of stubbornness. FTC taking way longer than I expected. And you? Certainly there are better hobbies than needling some guy on a message board.
OMG! Thank you so much! You have SAVED so many of us from making huge investment decisions based on the postings of a Yahoo message board! How can we ever repay you?
No Neck Nick - oops, I mean Fluteman Greg - as a fellow long, I agree that a 100% 1-yr return is not a bad thing, except when that still leaves us below where we were a year go. I'm glad Barclay's sees a significant price increase, but I sure wish it were a much bigger increase.
I'm a positive guy :-) Endless pumping is no big deal. Endless bashing is just a bummer. "If you can't say something nice, yada yada yada."
I'm perplexed by what HLF hoped to gain from the meeting in the first place. It's just as well that PS cancelled it, and it makes PS look bad in the process. Best possible outcome for HLF.
Texexec63: your endless negativity toward HLF is tiresome, but you do raise valid points much of the time. How did you know about Ackman's statement?
I would be relieved to learn that the sell is primarily a single large holder reallocating their portfolio. That is survivable. What I fear is learning that the dump has more to do with some major news that hasn't yet trickled out to the uninformed masses.
I don't care about Bill Stiritz. I care about me, one of HLF's smallest private shareholders, and I am getting absolutely annihilated! I have been patiently waiting for an FTC conclusion, and my investment is "money I can afford to lose." But man oh man how it sucks watching it disappear. I will hold strong out of morbid stubbornness, but this is excruciating.
