And you call me out for recycling old news which you failed at. This is recycling old news form an article that is 9 YEARS OLD! Not only that this was a Medtronic issue.
"The suit says surgeon Jeffrey Wang, now director of the University of California at Los Angeles's Comprehensive Spine Center, "liked to be taken" to Platinum Plus and emailed Medtronic sales official Brad Hancock saying he was "looking forward to going" to the club with him."
So Jeffrey Wang wanted to go to the club with Brad
Dr. Jeffrey Wang, who isn't named as a defendant in the suit, "denies ever being entertained by Medtronic at the Platinum club" and doesn't recall sending any such email.
"implantees could include simply the people who have made contact for information on a process they get scared away from by surgical realities or lack of insurance coverage and prohibitive cost. Or the inexperience of the surgeon with the procedure."
What part of "patients are already being prepared for surgery" do you not understand? And about insurance coverage. You better dig a little deeper your falling behind. I won't spoon feed you with the facts, but you're wrong!
Recycled it may be, but you said "If there's no news about number of surgeries, assume it is bad news"
The surgeon made the comment "we are seeing a number of other patients already and they're being prepared for surgery" at the end of Q2. So his comment pertains to Q3 and beyond.
In Q3 there are centers waiting to be certified with patients
Just to add to your post. Medstar put out a new update on Sept 1
They have a new patient brochure I don't recall seeing.
1 Minute mark of video "we are seeing number of other patients already and they're being prepared for surgery" so what do you think is he the only surgeon of the 77 + surgeons "seeing a number of patients" I realize not all the surgeons have performed the procedure being it's still new, but I'm going to assume he's not alone.
Q3 They have additional centers who will be certified with new patients already
Q4 Is when we will see a big ramp up in procedures as they work through the certification/training process which admittingly takes longer than I thought.
"Tactics" you are so right.
I always wondered how someone with no position could spend so much time here. But another poster says ooz may be an Orex investor which could finally explain a few things. The weight loss with vbloc is greater than any of the pills. But about Orex in particular.
Contrave: BLACK BOX WARNING

Oh it's significant.
Nice to see you finally admit the old data was right after-all. About time you realize why the fda approved the device. Later when the data reveals ewl of 40% and higher today's data will be old data right? The only thing I find disingenuous is why someone who "claims" they have no position in the company would continuously post here.
well damn hope you start feeling better. The news is stellar, anyone who says it isn't is nuts. I like that the news was released at the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Diseases 20th World Congress in Vienna. That should gain some attention where vbloc is approved, Australia, EU, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. And who knows maybe a oversees partner.
Really? So why are you here? Are not looking to make money off the backs of the obese people in the country? I was just pointing out what kids are doing with their lunches. Yes it's a shame kids more importantly adults don't eat right, but it is what it is!
Murf, there is a follow-up plan with surgery. But as far as people being more aware of what they're putting into their mouths, you just need to look around to see that people are getting fatter not slimmer. And kids today aren't learning anything either. I hear stories all the time of kids throwing away their fruits and vegetables skipping lunches at school only to go home and eat what they like.
A proper diet? Who does that anymore? I think we should replace proper diet with "eat the foods you like just less of it." and yes exercise always helps but eating less is they key. Then who knows maybe when someone sees themselves losing weight it will give them a little more motivation to exercise. And as I am sure you know with the other procedures you are not going to be able to eat what you like.
My problem is with the valuation.
Inns, I'm getting close to ignoring him considering he said he has no position in the stock. I find that hard to believe though considering he post pretty consistently. Anyway yes as you know the complications where minor heartburn, pain at incision sight which go away after a week or so. Nothing major as this guy would have you believe. As far as price, I really have no idea what the total tally will be. I think it will vary from center to center. But $40,000/$50,000 grand he's nuts!
Gastric Sleeve 13% complication rate
Gastric Band 13% complication rate
Gastric Bypass 21% complication rate
Vbloc 3.7% complication rate
"Did you know that your VA was the first VA to perform the vBloc implant procedure for weight loss?"
Are they suggesting other VA hospitals have started as well?
"I have had the privilege of being involved in numerous companies from conception to generation and have found it particularly rewarding to see EnteroMedics' vBloc Neurometabolic Therapy evolve to where it stands now, available to both patients and physicians who have been waiting over a decade for a new treatment option for obesity and its comorbidities," said Mark B. Knudson, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer. "I am extremely proud of the way we have overcome multiple challenges along the way and of the progress we've made thus far. I feel confident that the company is headed in the right direction. I will continue to lead the organization through the transition and look forward to maintaining my role as Chairman of the Board."
"Dr. Knudson has demonstrated extraordinary leadership throughout his tenure at EnteroMedics," said Jon Tremmel, EnteroMedics Board Member. "Obesity is a disease of epidemic proportion and his incredible vision and perseverance will allow EnteroMedics to become an important part of the solution. We look forward to Mark's continued guidance as we work toward an efficient and smooth transition in the executive role."
Well if that is the case I hope the pps moves violently first to the upside. The good news if it is the case I bought a nice chunk at .24 last week.
