Great post mikey--that was me who questioned the size of ALS population for orphan drug--thought it might be larger than you documented and glad for the correction and orphan opportunity for QCOR.
Ukraine find 'em in the Eastern bloc.
Czech it out, they Uzbeks and Kazakhs.
(Just thought I'd beat Nomad to the rhymin' punch.)
Druid.
Must be.
Retaining fluid.

Just a gigolo
everywhere I go
people know the part
I'm playing
Paid for every dance
selling each romance
every night some heart
betraying
There will come a day
youth will pass away
then what will they say
about me
When the end comes I know
they'll say just a gigolo
as life goes on
without me
'Cause I ain't got nobody
nobody nobody cares for me
Mikey--
Been snickering over a mental image of some virtual boiler room supervisor threatening these monkeys:
"I better see some trash on the YMB today or you'll be out with the trash come Monday."

Druid--
Pages 5 and 6 of the 10k.
July--neurology 77 to 109
August--nephrology 28 to 58
January--rheumatology 12 to 50 (updated to 55 by Cartt in CC).

Nomad--
Have been carefully accumulating a position in ALXN. Check their pipeline. Several Genzyme drugs are also in this same $400k ballpark by the way.

Say it ain't so rhymin' Nomad.
Shorts worse than pain in your gonads.
They blather, they bluster, they name call, they squirm.
And next I expect a re-visit to worms.

PJ--
Took me three re-types to get those posts loaded. Maybe YMB believes I am selling illegal drugs. Might change my handle to "Harmless Poster". Glad they have fun blocking me though, and not the posters with handles that refer to unclean body parts being probed.

NYJ--
Good point and you are correct. The data is reliable for relative upward direction, less reliable for specific numbers.

I believe you have this incorrect. Acthar is not approved for ALS. See page 4 of the 10k for a research summary. Schedule for proof of concept trial is Q2--which is plenty big--but not an approval.
Beton--
ALS may not qualify as orphan indication. Population may be too large, unless they can carve out a small subset of ALS patients. Remember--Acthar is only orphan for IS, not the rest of the indications.

Without all the lies, schemes and manipulation--you would be making a decision whether to own QCOR at $55 or $65. So, take what the defense gives you so to speak, and right now, that is cheap shares. Cheap enough for you? I dunno. Cheap enough for me? Yes.
The price trend is up with some aggravating back slides, the fundamentals better than ever, the research points to tantalizing future revenue opportunities, maybe interesting enough for the globals to come sniffing around in a year or so.
I don't worry about the MMs and the shorts too much--except to try and profit from tactics they use that would be illegal if I was in charge (but I ain't, so...).
Appreciate your mission to slam the hate posters.

More sales reps equals more revenue.
QCOR added 105 reps since July--30 in nephrology, 32 in neurology, 43 in rheumatology.
That's why scripts will grow in Q1 and that's why the data I've posted indicates this trend.
Also--vials per script will grow faster than scripts due to shift from Is and MS to NS and rheumatology.
That's why there is almost no chance of a miss in Q1--its by the numbers.
QCOR has confidence these newer reps will produce and they have track record to bolster that confidence. Longs can tune out the noise because this is really all we need to know--its by the numbers.
Thanks to Mikey and other posters, and of course a shout out to Favus the Ho, for their elegant and humorous debunking of every short thesis put forth.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
In case you haven't noticed--QCOR expects approval in Q2 on a human trial for ALS, according to SEC filings. This, after a promising animal trial was completed in November 2012.
Even with QCOR management's noted reticence for publicity, approval of this trial should hit the news and the patient web sites pretty hard, and the ensuing attention on the company and its track record is likely to be very bad news for shorts.

Nice timing max.
Mikey--
Great stuff.
And great weekend to all.

Than spewing from the master baiter.

An Awards showz got my pulse a-pumpin'.

Hope the ho' din't work fo free.
Ain't makin' much off his MD.
Now six days from the big div-ee.
Does anybody but me thinks its funny that a guy who communicates in riddles and song verses can chide other people for their spelling and grammar?
(Confession and cheap shot notwithstanding, I look forward to Nomad's posts--especially since mikey sold me a decoder ring at a discount.)
