CBRL has awaken!
Great job CBRL. Biglari looks like a spiled brat, a total #$%$ and a greedy jerk.
All of Biglari's plans are shot down - No board seat, no dividend, nothing!
I do not have any problems, often seeing the road signs and easily pulling into the Cracker Barrel parking lots. Clean bathrooms and good service. My only issue is the demographics, which are that of an "old folks home."
CBRL needs to attract some younger folks before their loyal customer base dies off.
Why not keep some of the producing Asian properties? Suban's output continues to increase and future development costs are minimal.
I agree that the European sites and operations may be ripe for sale at the right price. The sale proceeds could be used to fuel the highest margin short term and medium term projects. Once some non-productive assets are sold, TLM may end up being an acquisition target.
Calling the great Carl Icahn "the next Buffet" is an insult to Mr. Icahn. If you compare share price gains (the uneducated can simply use Yahoo! charts) you will understand that IEP has out performed Mr. Buffet on a 1 year, 2 year, 3 year, 5 year and 10 year basis. It is a sweep.
IEP has not received the media backing the BRK-A and BRK-B have enjoyed. Once additional investors learn of IEP, the multiple should see some nice expansion.
