Usually, after a huge run up like we have had, I expect some moderate-to-heavy selling when earnings are announced.
But I suspect, in this case, the buyers will tip the momentum in their favor because
A) HZNP's mgmt's stellar track record with acquisition and strategic moves (more to come)
B) They see what has happened to bigger players like JAZZ, MNK and SLXP and want to buy and hold HZNP because they believe they are on the same sort of growth pattern.
That's why I am holding through earnings.
I think tomorrow will not be a 'sell on the news' event. if there is any selling, it will be met with bargain hunters looking to snap up those shares within a week. Unless, of course, HZNP's earnings announcement has some sort of nasty surprise.

Google it to see for yourself.
Regarding HZNP management, he said "these guys are amazing"
I just watched the video. Cramer talked about VRX buying out SLXP and how, even after this pop today, he still thinks it can go 20% higher ($240). Then he took some calls. The first caller asked about HZNP. Oddly enough, when they showed the graph for HZNP, the text said the stock was up 47% LAST WEEK. Which is not true. Maybe YTD, but not certainly last week. Anyways, Cramer said he liked HZNP and compared them to VRX. Keep in mind that VRX is a 66 BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY (or something like that) and HZNP is only $2.5 billion or so.
Cramer said that on today's show?
Mixed thoughts on that....considering the YTD run we have had, I suspect we have a fair amount of mo-mo money in this stock now and many of those mo-mo players are looking to 'sell on the news'. On the other hand, I think the smart money knows this is a solid long term play and to sell at earnings or next week or next month or even next year would likely rob them of a ten-bagger, even at this price level.
Just look at JAZZ, SLXP, QCOR, MNK and others that some commonality with HZNP's path. (Yes, I know there are some major differences, but there are some characteristics that are similar).
I don't know what is going to happen Friday, but I am fairly confident this stock will be MUCH higher within 6, 12, 24 months. Definitely after 12 or 24 months, barring a black swan event. These guys now what they are doing. Check out the presentations, conference calls and their track record. It speaks volumes.
I don't recognize your handle, so you may not be a regular here. If you are a regular here, you would know we have a small collection of astute posters here. At least as far as their abilities to analyze HZNP. This board has not yet ruined like so many other boards.
ok, ok...terrible article....I guess I am just happy any time someone writes up a HZNP article that is at least mildly positive.
SLXP will likely get bought out at approx 7.5 times 2015 estimated sales.
HZNP currently trades at almost 5 times 2015 estimated sales.
If HZNP were to trade at approximately 7.5 sales the market cap would be approx $3.4 billion.
That's approx 50% higher than where the stock is now.
To bolster my case, HZNP will likely grow much faster than SLXP for the foreseeable future.
His pathetic efforts to distract the bull's story on this company is futile.
What I meant was a breakout on to new allt ime high. Seems like $17-$18 is a sticking point and all we need is a little push (some good earnings, guidance or other news) to propel us beyond $18. Yes, I am fully aware we have already had a huge run since the start of 2015.
I used the 'report abuse' button on each posting with the hopes others here would do the same thing.
Then that would prompt Yahoo to delete the postings.
But that is probably just wishful thinking considering how useless Yahoo cusotmer service is.
