Hard to say whether Carson Block's Seeking Alpha story makes any sense, tough when no real companies cover small caps.
Good move, it definitely took awhile but those shorts at $265 are going to be making money for years to come. Not sure I'd pay $24.50 let alone $245 for the Edsel of the 2010's
No idea how you get a Book Value to complete the comparison but... Results look pretty good comparing to Value Line estimates on their last AT report. Their updated report is a month or so off but I think it will be very positive on results. Good chance for a major long term recovery.
Maybe they buy Energizer!! Triples their revenues using only 10% of their inflated stock. Might actually have a PE at that point as opposed to no E
There is only the dopes buying it at this price to blame not Wall Street. Morgan is probably cashing out their clients after the recommendation but so what, a fool and their money is soon parted
Isn't Morgan the ones who wrote a big article on the tremendous future of Bitcoin?
I wouldn't short a stock that owners seem indifferent to the price but I can guarantee you at some point in the near future this short is going to work and work for a long time. The stock went from $33 to $217 in a year without actually selling more cars in a year than GM sells in a week. What's the cheapest one of these $70k or is it $100k? What are they available in 10 cities or something like that? I have yet to even see one on the road, ONE.
Didn't Edison invent an electric car a few years back? And maybe $80k cheaper too. Fuel cells are going to win the day though, electric cars are going away.
Electric has already lost to fuel cells. Bankrupt in 3 years. Fireball if you buy one of their Edsels now.
The company is deceptive, without an E they don't have to worry about P/E comparisons. I really don't see any reason it can't be $400 next month and $800 by year end. At that point they consider buying Facebook and Google will be in our sights for largest global market cap. Buy, Buy, Buy
It's 2 years out, I imagine TSLA will probably be bankrupt anyhow at that point. Just need one of those government hand outs to make it happen
There's a point in time that is real close where you will be able to put a short on this for years. I'd guess $50 target would be optimistic for overpriced electric cars, really optimistic. I am guessing AMC like ending. You are going to buy a Tesla over a Ford, GM electric? let alone a Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Mazda? Get real. Just wish I shorted stocks but not starting here with an Amazon-like cult loving this thing where profits, PEs and sales are irrelevant. Best of luck, $70k tax subsidized electric, more like $100k plus without gov't help.
