"That propaganda is good which leads to success, and that is bad which fails to achieve the desired result," he wrote. "It is not propaganda's task to be intelligent; its task is to lead to success." – Joseph Goebbels, Third Reich propaganda minister.
Ah, more talking points from the Democratic platform.
More deflection with quotes from a man that has been dead from decades. What does Barry Goldwater have to do with anything today?
“In the 2010 midterm elections, The New York Times identified 138 candidates for Congress with significant Tea Party support, and reported that all of them were running as Republicans.
With all the press about the Tea Party by the liberal media, do you really think and known Democrat would admit that he thought the Tea Party was right on any issue? That would be immediate political suicide for any Democrat. Their goal, like any politician is get elected and/or reelected and to say and do anything necessary to accomplish that goal.
And of course it has nothing to do with the fact that the city they choose is typically known as a Black Sea beach resort! Poor choice if you ask me.
Talk about sorry attempts at deflection...Palin has not been a factor in politics since her and John the liberal I disguise lost the election.
I think that this one is right on the money though...63% of Republicans believe President Obama is a socialist.
Your cheat sheet of who is actually posting here needs some serious updating or you need to get back on your medications.
"Global warming is not a political question decided by debate."
They why pray tell does the government tell us they have the answers and the solutions and those are all related to higher taxes and costs?
The problem with liberals is that they choose to overlook the science of the past. The climate of the earth has changed many times, sometimes very drastically. They choose to believe that it only caused my man, particularly conservative man, and that nature itself has no role in climate change.
The solution of course is more money, more taxes, more control by the government, which is translated into control of more money and the population more and more dependent on the government for all things good and protection from all things bad, except of course protection from the government.
When you claim that the lack of rain and warmer temps are the result of evil man-made climate change, and when more rain and cooler temps are also the result of the same evil culprit, you tend to lose credibility.
Utopia-- There is one..
A "Liberal Paradise" would be a place where everybody has guaranteed
employment, free comprehensive healthcare, free education, free food,
free housing, free clothing, free utilities, and only Law Enforcement has guns.
And believe it or not, such a place does indeed exist
......its called prison.
The biggest barrier is of course the money to enter into these business arenas. Of course with unemployment as high as it is, especially if accurately reported, entry into any business is getting more difficult.
Why not this off to the fair housing folk? They could force the banks to make business loans they know won't be repaid for people to enter into the communications industry. We need more people that don't understand fair reporting of actual events versus 'made' news.
Actually we need both. The problem is that under this administrations operations, the tax increases are the only option. Increased tax revenues would mean that more people have to be working to contribute their 'fair' share. We have more people out of work today than anytime in the past 50 years.
We need more opportunities for folks to prosper and with more and more government intervention into our daily lives, those opportunities are being reduced, not grown.
We need wise spending cuts, but the Democrats refuse to allow most cuts which leads to drastic actions by the opposition in order to cut out of control government spending.
Nobody want to forget the Bush administration, especially the Obama administration. What we don't want to forget are the promises that this current President made that have failed. We don't want to forget the lies that this administration, 'the most transparent in history' has been found to tell to the American people.
What we don't want to forget are the laws chosen to be ignored by this President and his staff. We don't want to forget the money that has been spent to 'create' jobs that have failed to do so. We don't want to forget his promise to 'rebuild the middle class' that is dangerously close be non-existent under this President.
We don't want to forget his foreign affairs promises that have been abject failures and that this now a more dangerous place to live than before he took office.
Oh yeah, I forgot Nancy says it is a God send that folks can now quit working because they don't have to worry about health care. Except that for many their costs will go up. I guess stopping all that miserable work so that they don't have to suffer with getting up each morning is Nancy's solution to the unemployment numbers...if they quit because they don't want the insurance, we don't have to count them. We are already not counting several million people, several MILLION!
Ricky's deflecting again, confusing the debt ceiling with requests to delay the implementation of the ACA. Asking three years ago to delay is suddenly sounding like a good idea.
So you saying that the 27 delays or changes to the ACA since passed have only accomplished delaying the employer mandate? Are you saying that none of these delays have been politically motivated? Are you saying that the only delays have been for unions, companies and large corporations, simply ignoring all the individual 'mandates'?
None of these changes are being made to protect incumbents running for office in 2014?
If he didn't stop deportation other than for violent criminals, then why have deportations fell to half of what they had been? No deportations have not increased since Obama. In fact there are several thousand people attempting to gain green card status for their family members that have been waiting for over 18 months and immigration is saying they are spending all their time in court delaying and stopping illegal deportations.
Bush said there were parts of laws he disagreed with. Obama just tell Justice to ignore several laws completely. He changes parts of the ACA just on a whim or for a political need and that's OK?
How about all the delays to the ACA? When the right tried to get Obama to delay the bill for a year, he called the un-American, losers, said that is was now the law of the land and they couldn't change it without Congressional action. Well, I guess he has decided differently now. How about directing immigration officials to stop deporting illegal aliens? That's just for starters. How about a speech he made in 2008 that called Bush's signing statements a sham and he would stop that practice as soon as he was elected?
I am not pushing anything. I didn't and still don't agree with going to war with Iraq, at least not when we did. If Saddam had continued to harass everyone in the region and actually use those weapons of Americans and not just his own, we might have had to take him out anyway. But you have to recall, it wasn't just Bush that was making those claims. The biggest argument over the WMD's came almost entirely from the Democrats, not even other allies.
The war in Iraq only kept us from doing what needed to be done in Afghanistan in a more timely manner and we should have been done with it by now.
By the way, if Saddam didn't have any chemical weapons, what did he use to gas the Kurds with? Just asking!
You of course must be right, even your alter ego (the other Ricky) keeps reminding us that Obama said raising the debt limit was an example of poor governing and should not be allowed.
Hey, it was recently reported that the State Oregon got $160M of Federal funds to make their work...they have yet to sign up ONE person for the ACA! Now that is government efficiency at its best.
The economics of this program as designed will not work. Even the government run accounting departments say it will work economically and will cost millions of job. He can write all the executive orders he wants, it won't change it. He simply keeps altering Congressionally passed laws without any input by Congress, other than Harry nodding like a dog on a dashboard.
