He doesn't have to win another election to be effective. This government has grown and is continuing to grow past what we as citizens can afford. Our elected representatives for the most part have grown to show little fear and even less respect for those that put them in their office.
If Cruz or anyone else can wake the public to these realizations and the damage they can and are doing to the future of this country and change the course of actions in Washington, he will have made his place in history and the hearts of many.
The first step in problem resolution is to define and recognize the problem for what it is and this is a big part of what Cruz is attempting. To paraphrase a quote from a very well known and liked President, 'Government is not the answer, government is the problem.'
And of course there have been no articles written or public comments made regarding the sanity, intentions, and 'misstatements' by the current President! There were many, many instances of such comments and disparaging remarks made by liberals about Bush, and many of the same type made about Obama, but when made about Obama they are racists. They have little or no respect for the office of the President, but of course that made few headlines when Bush was the subject.
Obama has made no mistakes; he has backed no foolish legislation or made silly or false public comments. He is a God! He is faultless!
He is worse for and has already done more damage to this country than the likes of McCarthy ever dreamed or anyone else dreamed. And of course there are no liberals that have EVER made a negative comment about Dear Leader. Just wait until the mid-term campaigns begin in earnest. They will be like confetti at a hero's parade.
“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people; it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government - lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”
~ Patrick Henry
“Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured….but not everyone must prove they are a citizen.
And now, nay of those who refuse, or are unable to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurances because they are citizens".
You are so wrong and so pitiful that it is to the point that I am almost, almost, embarrassed for you. You have no argument left that holds any credibility other than you caught me using two ID's. How many do you and Ricky share? Many, many I would guess.
You have no valid points that support this administrations actions. They are corrupt and dishonest and you have nothing with which to dispute this.
And yet another failed attempt at deflecting the conversation away from the subject at hand. What, you and your alter ego have nothing to say in defense of the failed ACA and the static that is going to cause this to blow up in Obama's face like and M-80 he couldn't drop fast enough.
The fact that I used two different ID's does not change the wisdom of the quote I posted and it surely doesn't lend any credence to the one you made up. You position as board monitor is at risk Sir Echo because you have no faith left in your Dear Leader, you simply won't admit it.
“The true test of intelligence is not how much we know how to do, but how we behave when we don't know what to do.” – John Holt Less
What a perfect example of our current President. I saw a poster the other day that read...'Lets water board Obama and see if he knows ANYTHING.! Apparently he has appointed and hired a ton of folks that don't tell him anything about what they are doing and he is in the dark more than sir Echo in his basement.
Sir Echo is still badmouthing everyone he can find because he has no answer to the fiasco that is the ACA. He and Ricky had hung their hats on this being the greatest thing since sliced bread and screen doors and now that it is proving to be the disaster that was predicted, they don't have any thing else to do but pick on spelling, grammar and people they think are hiding on the board.
The liberals in Congress and even many past Obama supporters are fleeing like rabbits from a dog.
Mark Twain once said: “It’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.”
People just aren't paying enough attention to this administration. They might be entertaining, but they are also dangerous.
"Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean stand by the President or any other public official."
It all depends on the intent of the site. If it is too get people the opportunity to view the proposed plans and make an intelligent decision based on 'shopping' for what is available, they failed miserably. However, if the intent is to get folks to sign up not knowing what is available and the costs associated with those plans until it is too late, they were very successful.
While the US subsidiary of the Canadian firm started this project, the media was discussing earlier this week that Canadian branch failed miserably at the 'upgrade' that they were hired to do for the Canadian government hired them for. Again, this administration is full of slow learners.
Why was it not racist when blacks denounced Bush? Why is it racist if you don't like the white part of Obama? Most of the issues of race that have surfaced during his term have been raised by him or someone on his staff, with of course help from Hollywood and the MSM. Racism ;for this President is an excuse for poor performance or as a tool of deflection away from yet another failed project.
I don't care that color he is, he is a terrible President.
He ran on the platform of Hope and Change. He asked that we join him in fundamentally changing the 'greatest country on earth'. We he changed it all right.
We now have more people out of work than any time in our history.
We have more people on disability than any time in our history.
We have more people on food stamps than any point in our history.
We have more debt than at any point in our history and it is still increasing at record rates.
We have long time allies that no longer trust us.
We had and still have more self-admitted socialist (read progressives) appointed to positions in this administration than ever. Fortunately many of them have been shamed into retirement, but too many still remain.
We have a health care plan most didn't want, even fewer ever read or understood that is set to destroy many insurance companies, doctor’s careers, and the health of many Americans. Fortunately, it is collapsing under its own weight but not fast enough.
We certainly have the change, most of detrimental to our country and most of have no clue what happened to the hope.
So succinct and right to the point in one simple sentence. Good job! And you did it without even including the disaster of many of his appointee’s, his stupid public gaffs, his lying while knowing full well he was and the constant scandals and partisanship.
Simply more deflection from the subject at hand, the pitiful actions of Congress and the absurdity and living proof of incompetence that is the ACA. Now you want to rant about aliases again. You made your point; move on nothing here to see.
Thank you for wishing all veterans, including me I assume, a happy Veterans Day. I hope you enjoyed your trip.
Now, how about some discussion about the ACA without singing from the same song sheet as the President? The ACA is falling on its face as we speak and likely taking Obama, Reid and Nut Job Nancy with it. Democrats up for reelection are running as if it was on fire. For that I guess we can give thanks. For all those that got cancelled and especially those that got their costs doubled and tripled, unfortunately the Presidents last little speech will do virtually nothing.
That is this Presidents typical modus operandi, give long speeches, campaign constantly and do little in the way of anything positive for the citizens. I have some feeling of shame and regret for those fools that rushed to vote for him the first time, but little sympathy for those that were fooled twice.
I thought the argument was about the ACA for the nation, not health care in Texas? Are you changing subjects again, I'm sorry, deflecting the conversation again?
No one wants sick people to be denied health care. No one want to deny sick people health insurance. Many just don't want to see their health care costs go up and to be forced to pay for other people to get better health care than they can now afford under this failing plan of this failing President.
Health care cost reform is needed. This isn't it. This is driving up costs, driving up the size of government, driving up taxes. How are any of those things good for a failing economy? How do any of those things put anyone back to work if they can't find a job with the IRS?
There were other plans presented but they fell on deaf ears in the White House and subsequently most of Congress because our Dear Leader doesn't want to and doesn't know how to negotiate or compromise. He doesn't even understand the meaning of either of those words.
