Did you not listen to the call? Do you all just not understand what "we need to see evidence before approval" means? It isn't getting approved until after REDUCE-IT. Probably looking at 6 years from now. Cold, hard truth.
Duh. Waving REDUCE-IT in their face as a ploy to get Anchor was never a good strategy. FDA knew full well AMRN would never stop this study, hence they moved forward with the denials. Everyone wants to see this study end, and it was clear no matter what AMRN had to continue it, since it was really the only potential value left in the company. The FDA is getting EVERYTHING it wants; job well done.
One independent director who lives a thousand miles from company headquarters buying shares does not mean anything. Back when there were all those sales, everyone was getting in on the act. And still, Brear hasn't touched this stock. Utterly appalling stuff, but no one cares.
1.2x revenue, max valuation we are gonna get in a bull market. The market speaks, and tells you what it thinks of this Legend of Silicon Valley.
This is hilarious stuff. The appeal was rejected, with absolutely no further information provided and no comments from our fearless leaders, namely John "I can't speak in public" Thero. So they just leave us sitting here holding our things, while the market blasts us. Job well done boys, job well done. Always good to just put out negative news with absolutely no comment.
That is really the only three options. 1) Dilute shareholders into oblivion (at least 50m shares?). This is a possibility because most of management already sold tons in the teens, so what happena to shareholders probably isn't too much of a concern. 2) sell the company, get what they can get, and move on with their lives and this absolute nightmare. CVRs could be involved to provide future upside to investors. Shareholders get money without have to sit around for years with all this uncertainty. 3) If they do neither 1 or 2, they are bankrupt soon. They have more debt than cash, are burning and burning every quarter, and have no chance to make it to the end of REDUCE-IT. I think the Pharmakon loan is coming due soon? Yeahhhhh, absolutely no way to pay that outside of 1, diluation.
$19 was a highly inflated value. It was only that high because JZ and the boys were pumping a buyout and telling everyone how exciting it was gonna be. Hence, the PPS was much higher than what it should have been. JZ and the boys took advantage by selling millions of share, from which JZ purchased a huge mansion estate in Massachusetts.
FDA blocks a safe treatment that can lower triglycerides for millions of Americans, but who cares, we need a Ray Rice congressional hearing.
Prior CEO? Thero has been President this ENTIRE time. You think he was just sitting back in the wings and letting JZ have full autonomy?
1. Omthera management and shareholders. They sold out, which was such a prudent. Their shareholders made out very very well. And Epanova may never come to market, amazing job OMTH management!
2. JZ and the rest of AMRN management. JZ bought a huge mansion estate with his profit in the teens. He pumped, ran it into the ground, and walked away with his millions. Many other insiders profited handsomely as well. Don't feel bad for John "I can't speak in public" Thero. He got his in the teens as well; whatever happens going forward, he's still a millionaire.
Good points. He clearly had no idea how all of this work. Not a penny under $30? Seriously?
Know the game you are playing. And don't act like you can play with the big boys when you are a peon.
