Actually, I expect this stock to retest 33.30ish. There is a clear gap here to back fill.
53k shares can certainly move the needle, but in the big scheme of things you are right. The monthly's hold more weight. However, with that said, it flushes out the sellers and some of us have been killing it, selling the 35 strike price for months. Its been a constant trend for awhile. It really only becomes significant because the option seller trend will be broken and we will be forced to sell higher strikes thus creating more lift. If you are a seller of premium like I am you would understand. If not than it may not make sense.
That will force some of the call sellers to close out positions and roll forward or create a nice distribution of shares at the 35 level to add to support.
You just answered your own question. How do you trade and make money when the premium is so high....Simple, sell the premium on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. SPWR is a premium sellers dream come true.
I wouldnt call this a break out yet. I suspect cree will settle down and probably close out the week around 62.50ish. Just a guess really, but no real catalyst yet to warrent a major move out of the range we are in. These things can last a long time. Premium sellers are still winning the game as far as i can tell.
FSLR's numbers are out. I'm liking spwr's sales strategy and growth plans more and more. Sustainable, and steady, and consistently predictable.
Stock needs to churn some more in the 34 range imho.
But what if I dont want people knowing I looked at their profile? Very bad feature LinkedIn. Not cool.
to be making an acquisition of this size.
Whatsapp looks pretty cool, but what prevents apple's iphone from just beefing up their text message system and add more features within their IOS. Or vice versa for Android operating systems. The barriers to entry to this seem relatively small. Can anyone add some color to this? I like the acquisition and strategy, but the price is something else. A lot of risk and could create a drag on the stock for a long time.
are so far off the mark its kind of funny. Look at how wrong they have been with estimates surprises. Unbelievable. SPWR seems to be in the early stages of this game with rapid growth really slated for 2015 when more capacity comes online. However, spwr should be rewarded if they continue to improve operationally.
if the hurricane had any impact and if the new acquisition impacted eps. Other than we can expect great numbers and conservative guidance as they build out their new production lines. Earnings could be a non event.
and leading into earnings. Any other thoughts?
