Guess I made the wrong call here, but still turned a decent profit for 9 months. With any luck, the summer sell-off will let me get back in.
Congrats to longs.
It's been a great run-up from $7, and I still believe in the long-term potential...but I'm starting to doubt if we hit the quarterly expectations. Nothing solid to base this on, but I think the outperforms in earlier quarters have expectations high, and last quarters miss might be a harbinger of tougher roads in the short term.
I think I'll be taking my money off the table before day's end, but am interested to hear other views.
Good luck to longs.
Your lives must be so terribly empty......
Is it easy to sleep at night, or does your day-job haunt you?
you said this would be dead money at $9 and were proven wrong.
As I suspected, your response was to heap more praise upon yourself, not admit that you've been wrong, and seem to imply that we should all be listening to the deep wisdom of "the kid".
Get over yourself.
Not obsessed by any means....I just like calling out the trolls as I see them.
You're quick to crow about your calls and denigrate those who don't agree with you. If it turns out that you're wrong, however, you'd never admit it.
I'm humble enough to know that I don't have the answers, and I'll make my share of bad calls. The difference is, I don't scream to world when I'm right and call people stupid who disagree with me.
You want to make good? Simply say "whoops....turns out I was wrong on this....darn".
But if we drop down to $13 again and you show up talking trash about how you warned us all....then I'll continue to be here reminding you that you missed the boat.
He warned us all on March 6th that we'd better get out because KKD sold fried dough and would behave just like Jones Soda. KKD closed at 14.66 that day.
Now, he's returned to the message board to rub it in everyone's face. "I WARNED YOU...!" "YOU SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO ME...!" OUCH!
Net result, we close the day at $14.54, which is a full 12 cents below this financial oracle's call.
I've got a suggestion Adsklid......don't come back until you find a leg to stand on.
Nice try adslkid. At least you didn't say "...it's just fried dough" this time. Quit patting yourself on the back for recommending a sell @ 14.50. Sure, I'm down $1 (and probably more to come) from your Nostradamus-like call.....but I'll continue to remind you that YOU MADE YOUR FIRST CALL TO SELL IT ALL OFF AT $9!
If anyone actually HAD listened to your warnings....they'd still have missed a $ 4 to $4.50 run up.
The only reason you're even here is because you're angry at yourself for having sold early, and are trying to make yourself feel better by cheering a downward adjustment.
If we get below $9, then you can start to crow....until then, realize that you're still on the wrong side of this.
Thanks for the sage advice adslkid. Any thoughts on calling any investor stupid that didn't get out at $9 as you did? I'd hazard to say that missing an additional $6 run-up in about 2-3 months was none too wise, wouldn't you?
Dunkin has a $4B market cap and Tim Horton's is near $8B. How do you imagine they were able to accomplish that with just fried dough?
It looks like the Kingofallbashers has a new identity.
Still hasn't found the caps-lock key on his keyboard, though (maybe it's broken?)
Actually, Holly, one sign of a strong intellect is being able to consider both sides of an issue, and leave open the possibility that you could be wrong.
On the other hand, consistently posting about how smart one is and how inferior the IQs of others are is a sign of strong insecurity.
I personally don't feel the need to denigrate others in order to make myself feel good.
and by the way....the current pps IS reality. Try contacting your broker and asking to cover at $10, because that's the price in your world.
Come to grips with the world Holly. You don't know what the future holds. Could be roses....could be disaster.....but to imagine that you're some kind of financial oracle while sitting on your couch in Highland Park and posting to Yahoo is delusional.
I'm not long, and closed my position yesterday....I'm just here to watch the animals in the zoo, and you're certainly not disappointing.
No, truth isn't irritating....you are. You're free to have your own opinions about what the future holds, but "truth" is that the stock is currently trading at $17.
That's the ONLY truth that matters, and you're not coping very well with that truth, are you?
WHEN??????? ....are you going to stop ranting, admit you've been wrong, cover your short, and go away?
How long can you operate this way Holly? Spending hour after hour posting about how smart and correct you are, even though you've been on the wrong side of this trade for months?
in the long run, Best Buy will certainly be challenged to maintain their position. In the short-term, you've been wrong and don't seem able to come to grips with it.
You might have the best team on paper....but you're getting killed on the court.
...I only hope SlimJim will be alright. His heart might not be able to take this. Congrats to longs that held on.
Someone who writes like a 4th grade drop-out should never accuse others of being stupid.
Really? "How can u people believe in bestbuy is not happening more will it...." ?
