Is this Nixdorf acquisition in Europe going to be something that saves or sinks Diebold? My only experience with this German company was in the 1970s when a client of the firm had a Nixdorf computer and I didn't get a very good impression of the company then. Is this acquisition akin to the Affiliated Computer Services acquisition by Xerox a few years ago? HP is also a company with a history of failed acquisitions. How does management sell these large "bet the farm" acquisitions to the BOD?
