The following is the actual short stats as of today. Geezzz is this the "mother of all short squezzes." This miniscul short interest has close to no effect on the stock price. The ignorant blattering of the short bashers gets tedious. With the wide swing this stock makes daily there is plenty of $ to be made going up and down. Please stop whining and blaming the shorts for your poor trading skills.

I have had Hepc since the early 70s. I have had symptoms since the begining. I am genotype 1. My enzymes have been consistantly elevated since then and I have had at least a 2 million plus viral load since testing became available. I just recently completed the 12 week arm of the Atomic Study. That consisted of Standard of Care, ribaviran & interferon w/400mg of psi7977. Within one week my viral load was >15 and my liver enzymes levels were normal for the first time in decades. If my lab result remain the same by May, (6 months)SRV24 I will be considered cured. The only side effects I experienced was from the SOC and nothing could be attributed to the psi-7977. I did a lot of research on everything in the pipeline before I choose the psi-7977 clinical trial. At this point I consider myself extremely fortunate for having the opportunity to participate in it. All the others at my study site had similiar results, everyone cleared the virus, no apparant psi-7977 side effects. I speak with hepc support groups around the country all the time and there is no doubt in my mind (IMHO) that psi-7977 will be the cornerstone of the next standard of care for Hepc
http://www.businessweek.com/news/2012-02-03/gilead-rises-on-hepatitis-c-trial-results-san-francisco-mover.html. The other developing drug therapy that is close to being as effective as psi-7977 is BMYs quad therapy. This consist of the SOC, Asunaprevir & Daclastervir. But they are behind Psi-7977 development, the only study so far is with handful of patients (10) and it has not been as effective or simple to take as psi-7977 and they may exhibit some of the side effect other protease inhibitors do. I think (psi-7977)GILD will be the winner in this race. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/757104
While I was in treatment after seeing how well the therapy was working I considered buying some Pharmassett(the producer of psi-7977), in the 60s the week before they were bought out by GILD for double that. But I missed it. Then I again waited while GILD pulled back into the 30s on news of the aqcusition now it's up to 55, missed it again. I still think there is a big upside here. Could be another double. Or is it to late? I do not have a position in GILD yet. Any comments?
PS: I'm not an 81 yr old female (i got to correct that) 50s male
You are right psi-7977 is a miracle as far as I'm concerned. I am a true believer with first hand knowledge. And I intend to find the researchers at Pharmassett who developed this "miracle" so that I can thank them personally. I only wish they had come up with this about 40 yrs. ago but back then they had not even discovered the virus, back then no one believed you could be cured of a virus. It's amazing how far we have come in such a short time. Cudos to the scientists and free market capitalism.
Another Hepc competitor falls back
Or amzn, bezos: buying back stock to hold the price up? Seehttp://seekingalpha.com/article/346061-amazon-com-great-company-overpriced-stock
Nobodys suggesting that you invest on way or the other based on this article. It does present some good points. Its up to you to do you homework and make up your own opinion whether you agree or disagree and decide if and how to use the info. AMZN is a terrific trading sardine. It's a great day trading stock. I would not want to get stuck w/it long or short for too long
Hope you're nimble on the weekly calls. Call buyers are being suckered in to worthless expirations. Big boys holding lots of shares milking it.
Gilds PSI 7977 hepc polymerase inhibitor, is a blockbuster. Vertex(Incivek) therapy has an under 79% clear (cure) rate after 24 weeks. The side effects are worse then the old standard of care. Many patients have had to stop therapy. This protease inhibitor will soon fall by the wayside or be sent for free to China, India, etc. If you check w/hepc support groups around the country you will find that those you can wait are waiting for 7977. In clinical studys 7977 has close to 100% clear(cure) rate in a shorter period of treatment time w/no side effects. Vertex has already made billions off of an inferior therapy and has barely put a dent in the potential market. This will be a cash cow for Gild.
I love this stinky old trading sardine. I agree with the shorts this sardine looks rotten, but the longs are also correct, this dying fish has incredible upward momentum and keeps defying gravity. If you watch the trading action it is truely psychotic. I don't have a level 2, does anyone out there watch this thing trade on a level 2? It does offer great daily income opportunities for a skilled, nimble day trader. I would never want to hold a position in this POS overnight. I think this is being heavily traded by the big boys and the small retail investor can ride their coattails from time to time but you can't get in their way or you get crushed.
