Because I am not a liberal, I must point out that there are less folks working part time last month for reasons of "Slack work or business conditions"...my statement earlier was in error.
A liberal would never admit that honest mistake. Conservative all the way!
True. The rate is low. Good that there are now plenty of folks working retail sales and Burger King. That's where the job creation was last month, for the most part.
700k increase in folks working part time due to :"Slack work or business conditions" or "Could only find part-time work"
This is from household data table A
From summary report at BLS website:
Retail trade added 58,000 jobs in January, following essentially no change in
December. Employment rose in general merchandise stores (+15,000), electronics
and appliance stores (+9,000), motor vehicle and parts dealers (+8,000), and
furniture and home furnishing stores (+7,000). Employment in retail trade has
increased by 301,000 over the past 12 months, with motor vehicle and parts dealers
and general merchandise stores accounting for nearly half of the gain.
Employment in food services and drinking places rose in January (+47,000). Over
the year, the industry has added 384,000 jobs.
Most job growth is in retail sales and food places--over 100k in total for those two sectors last month.
Low paying jobs...
Trump will fix the debt/deficit issue. He spent practically nothing to get 2nd place finish in Iowa, where 67%
of the voters are holy rollers. That kind of efficiency Trump will apply to running the massive, bloated government.
100% agree. Would be great to have female president or at least vice president. But the Clintons are a power hungry horror show.
Bill and Hillary think they can duplicate Obama's tactics to get nomination. BUT Obama had the novelty of being the first black president, which is really why he had so much support. Voters thought they were making history by voting for Obama.
Bill and Hillary are in for a rude surprise and all they proof you need is the Iowa vote result. Clinton should have won by double digits.
Hillary is running as Obama's soul mate.
Trump in 2nd in Iowa is a good finish. The polls are the one who set the expectations.
Trump campaign must win New Hampshire, though.
New Hampshire picks presidents; Iowa pick corn.
2nd place in Iowa for Trump is fantastic. 67% of the voter in Iowa GOP are holy rollers. Cruz, Santorum,
Huckabee...see the pattern?
