cbm is a very small company, and they issue stock options as part of compensation that flood the market when they are exercised (this has just happened). If they meet or beat earnings the stock price will recover. If not it will tank.
I agree with you. Based on the cheap premiums the market is not expecting a pop. Anything can happen between now and when the vote is announced. I was also hoping for a rise to 33+
This is ridiculus. Line can pick up better assets and continue to generate revs without the bry deal. Sure IF the whole mess with the SEC and Hedgeye had not happened the deal would be done and Line would have benefitted nicely. Too bad, looks like that will not happen. bry needs line far more than line needs bry, as they are in debt up to their eyeballs , and a short term squeeze on prices could cripple them. Sadly, the SEC is another feckless government body that has no need to act in a timely fashion. So line is screwed. Move on.
You may be correct, but if you are not you may find yourself answering questions from the SEC concerning attempted market manipulation. Have fun!
The share price of simo can easily sink below 10 as it is hardly a big enough issue to be actively followed by large funds. Being an ADR does not help either. The divy should help, but it is new and they have no track record for paying it. The numbers look decent, in fact, too good to be true...I'm taking a small stake here but this one is far riskier than the balance sheet would indicate.
If gold climbs you will be ok and maybe even make some $. iag does not have a good earnings record and that hurts the share price.
I'd sell at 17 plus after buying at 2.09 ...These options awards are very common and another way of paying big bucks to the already overpaid executives of companies. Simple greed.
However vivo is profitable and does pay a reasonable dividend to shareholders. 2012 earnings will likely benifit from the latest aquisition. at 16-18 bucks I expect shares will rise within the next year, with fairly small downside risk, all the while collecting 4%, maybe juicing that with the sale of covered calls.
According to Zacks there are 17 analysts projecting 2012 earnings. The high estimate is 4.30 a share, and the low estimate is 2.70 a share. go figure.
