Does anyone have info on Optinvent/ORA-1, as in who's supplying the glass?
Copy and search: ORA by Optinvent
Google Glass is coming. Three different companies offering smart watches. Lot of activity with HIMX. But still, I can find nothing about ALSO. Even this board is as quiet as ALSO. Share if you have any info. Thanks.
A bit more conservative, I think we need $7 first, take a breath, then move to $9/$10. Each time Glu has an impressive run up chaos follows. But, I ain't fussy. I'll take what I get!
Ah, you guys are too kind! But please don't worry about the thumbs. I am more interested in reading posts and offering an opinion. Besides, I seem to have adopted some type of troll ensuring I always have a red thumb whenever I post. Still, thank you both.
Nice smile for me with the "kidding," jd. Was thinking the same thing. But glk, that was a solid break down on Himax. Helped to clear a little grey area in my thinking. Thanks.
I'm a huge fan of Glu. But, don't bet the farm on rumors. Rumors can be wrong and misleading. How many times have we seen "rumors" of a buyout? I do believe good news will becoming as we head into the earnings report. Good news such as how many games are in the top 100, new games being released, and so on. Rumors like a "buyout" are nothing more than rumors.
Do any of you know anything further about Apple's flexible screen? Read it's few years out, but its uses will be many. Would like to see HIMX in the mix. Any info???
Wow! They're back. Odd, I checked 3 times and only saw up to today. My bad, I guess. See, joniloveschachi, I can at least admit when I'm wrong. But I'm still putting you on ignore.
And about bashers, I just clicked jonas' name. He's deleted all his posts except for the last 3 hours. Wonder what's up with that... And yes, have put him on ignore.
It's odd, Glu rarely makes an announcement when releasing a game. There was some announcement when they were test marketing back in mid November. Word of mouth seems to be the current strategy.
Should mention, one of the things pointed out is how Glu recycles its game engines. They can use the same engine with new concepts. Less time and money developing a game from scratch. This is the same thing that EA does with its game engines. And as I've mentioned before, EA may put Glu in its sights. Hopefully, if they do, it will be to partner and not takeover.
You may have already read this, but, Value Walk has a good article on the three game makers:
Zynga Inc vs. Glu Mobile vs. King Digital: Best Investment
Just copy the article name and Google will take you to it.
I seem to think the "bashers" begin posting on the cusp of positive news or going into earnings. I don't think they are compensated. I feel there is a mindset that just gets off bashing. And I think Gold is right, very few if any, are influenced by their posts. But it is interesting how the bashing increases with news or earnings. And, foolishly, the more bashing, the more positive I feel. (Hold it! Maybe that's their game plan!!! Reverse psychology! Snark, snark bashers...)
I agree. Amazon's sales numbers for their phone is uninspiring. But, Twitch and Amazon's client base will be good for Glu...and other game makers.
If there was a buyout, which I am currently doubting, I think around $7 would be it. Unless another company stepped in to create a bidding war. Could see the share price go to $10 even $12.
