AKBA popped 25% intraday yesterday for no reason other than a conf. today, I think. I didn't expect that at all and even worse, I kept shorting the higher highs. Then I bought $7.5 OCT calls out of fear. lol
I was right about going short on JUNO, but it spiked up nearly 30% just a few days after my initial short. I could have made some serious money if I had just waited a few days.
You might be right, I used to be in some like LCI and VNDA where it looked like it couldn't go lower, but of course, it did.
Yep, I remember HZNP when it kept dropping down to around $2 and then it just turned around one day for no reason and hasn't looked back. I don't know when the turning point will come for PTX, but I hope it happens soon. It's so hard to time the market moves, because it usually happens when you least expect it.
I have $5 August puts that I bought for $0.2, so not going to sell at a loss. I have high hopes for this company, but I've seen this trading pattern many times. It'll break a lot of confident longs before going on to become a multi-bagger like so many others.
I went short 500 shares JUNO today avg. $56.75. I initially shorted 100 shares pre-market and again after the open, but then it popped for some reason over $60. Then I bought $60 July calls out of panic. lol
It does look good, considering they have a backup plan with their other drug. I might even take a larger position there, depending on what happens with CLDN in the short-term. In the meantime, I wouldn't mind collecting $1,750 minus fees/commissions within a month. :)
I have the most confidence in IGXT, but it's a penny stock and pretty volatile. I have been trading it for 1-2 years and keep a core position of around 10k shares and swing trade another 10k shares usually. It has a history of making some huge run ups into catalysts, but selling off on the news, which makes it great for day or swing trades. I only have my core position atm, but I'd be a buyer between $0.6 to $0.62 playing a potential run up into earnings.
Missed p-values could complicate things. I think it needs to be less than 0.05 to see a huge sustainable spike in price, but so many possible outcomes.
