I'm in the same boat with PTX. It really has been like trying to catch a falling knife. I need to reduce my stake in PTX and just be patient.
I hope so. Would have liked to buy more, but most of my money is tied up in PTX until at least Fri. (options exp.) Might be able to grab 5k more next week, but that would probably be it. I try not have more than 20% of my portfolio in just 1 company and I'm already deep in the red here. Good luck.
PTX and VVUS. I'm probably overexposed to risk and it's been like trying to catch a falling knife. I just hope we can make it to OCT/NOV, as that seems to be the turning point in recent years for these types of stocks.
It seems to be setting up for massive gains starting in OCT/NOV like so many others that have dropped down to this level. I also think 2016 could be a good year for this company. I could be wrong, but my entire portfolio now consists of VVUS and PTX. Good luck!!!
I wasn't gonna buy shares on top of my Jan calls, but now I have 11k shares and 110 $1.5 AUG puts. LOL
I thought it would pull back like before so i sold my 10k shares around $5.9 avg. Still have some Jan calls. It seems to be trading similar to the way it did prior to the pdufa. I could be wrong, though.
I'm pretty sure it'll drop in the short-term, but who knows with this stock. I mainly trade biotech, so I know I could be wrong. LOL
My first attempt to short was at around $600, but I got nervous and closed it out with a tiny profit. This one is definitely tough to short, but I think I'll keep buying small amounts of puts from here on if it goes higher.
Why don't they put that cash to work by making acquisitions like HZNP and utilize the sales force instead of drifting into the abyss? I bought 40 Jan $2 calls for $0.5 today, probably another loser. lol
AKBA popped 25% intraday yesterday for no reason other than a conf. today, I think. I didn't expect that at all and even worse, I kept shorting the higher highs. Then I bought $7.5 OCT calls out of fear. lol
