As for why EDUC trades so low, the best I can come up with is 1) lack of liquidity due to low trading volume,
2) the low opinion of the sector due in part to the for-profit education scandals of the last few years. While EDUC isn't in the same business as those for-profit schools, the name makes it sound like it is...and maybe that scares away potential investors, and
3) the view that technology will kill printed books.
i've owned WTT for awhile and have noticed the msg board is one of the few good ones on Yahoo. After reading the KOSS posts, I figured i'd throw out EDUC to see who might have an interest and/or opinion. EDUC publishes children's books and has been showing improved financial performance in recent quarters after discontinuing an unfavorable deal with Amazon ended a few years ago. Currently pays 7.5 % dividend, which appears much safer than most high-yielders.
