Found the other ... Thomas Mundis
"Munids was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident about two years ago. He had the stem cell surgery in February. Doctors cannot yet tell if his spine is regenerating, but he is feeling something new.
“I have muscle spasms,” Mundis says pointing to his stomach area. “They are just sporadic, but it definitely gives me a little bit of hope.”
"anecdotal evidence from two of the four patients on social media and through news outlets has been highly encouraging"
What is he referring to? does anyone have links to this? THanks
I have 20k shares. Most of the compensation that the message board peanut crowd complains about are options which are completely worthless if the stock price doesn't go up significantly. His base salary is about $600k and he gets a bonus up to 60% of that. So he is getting about $1 million... not the $10 million non-sense that gets floated around here.
How so ? The fundamentals have never been stronger. JnJ with 65+ sites and planning to bring Imetelstat to market in 2017
Seeking Alpha? Really... who cares. SA is just another form of a message board with self proclaimed experts on a stock. A few of the bloggers are knowledgeable but most are just blow hards trying to influence the stock to support their position.
I agree. I am in Geron until Imetelstat succeeds (or fails.. not likely) so everything that happens between now and then is just noise. Stay focused on the fundamentals and block out the message board clowns crowing about every dip or rise in PPS.
Don't forget the massive amount of tax credits (hundreds of millions of $) they have accumulated over the years. That will be a big positive when the revenue starts rolling in.
After "GERN corporate" hung up the phone they did a big LOL!
It's amateur hour here on this message board 24/7. Too stupid to realize they get millions of options and will therefore never buy on the open market as a gimmick.
Agree with that. Geron will have turned over all Imet development to J&J by the end of September. Geron will just have to "love the one they're with" (and she's a looker)
This is true. A large secondary tanks the PPS immediately and an ATM can keep a limit on the PPS gains for months. Both have positives and negatives.
LOL. I saw a Holy Crucifix. Everybody has their own interpretation of the interesting shapes you can see in a price chart. Just like finding interesting shapes in the clouds ... a bit childish but fun.
The other thing to consider is that later stage patients are not as likely to fair as well with the surgical procedure and hence it could worsen their condition regardless of the affect of the stem cells.
I doubt that will happen
You make judgement on the management when you know very little about how well they are executing behind the scenes. You can't judge when you have 10% of the facts. For a CEO successfully moving Imetelstat along the development path toward a block buster drug Chip is not over compensated.
It's not manipulation. The markets pretty much ignore research in mouse models regardless of how promising it may seem. They know the long odds of positive mouse data translating into an FDA approved therapy in addition to how long it would take. Right now for Imetelstat it's all about the blood.
