I bought a whopping 1500 shares... had to pay $35 to buy on the ASX, but I think Billabong is a solid brand. Broke the 2009 low.
Imagine with the AUD goes below $1, then we'd have some smooth sailing. If not, you get a 6% dividend for waiting
Hey guys, you surfers out there, check out Billabong on the ASX...
Looks pretty cheap? 10-year low?
We know ZQK and BBG are top surfing brands. I remember growing up in the late 90s surfing and skating.. elements, quiksilver, volcom, and rvca were the top brands.
ya, very interesting
tucows is the last pure play left...
enom = demand media
godaddy = private
web solutions = public
tucows = public/pure play
Smith Micro should port everything to the Mac App store. This is silly that StuffIt is only available.
Anime Studio is a great product.
Prices on software need to be lowered slightly and they could all be a home run.
Stock prices can get stupid... and if it gets stupid, I'll buy
We could just flat line here for a few months, who knows. At least I know what I am buying!
The DreamWorks Animation catalogue surely benefits from Netflix and any other platform that comes to fruition?
This reminds me of the Disney play in the late 1970s... I read an article years ago about how Buffett noticed Disney's movie catalogue was cast off as old, and unworthy. Well, Buffett wasn't sure if the VHS or the Record or whatever would win, but he knew the Disney catalogue would be ported to the latest platform.
I see the same with DWA.
I am a new owner, and will likely add it it drops a few more points. We'll see.
Kung Fu Panda 2 was a great movie
What am I missing?
Surely movies are cyclical? I like the upcoming movies and the Nick shows seem pretty popular.
Seems like the $20 area is the hard support level for the past several year.
Does anyone have the updated prospectus?
All I have is this - http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/70858/000119312510044940/d424b7.htm
So, I flew to Phoenix to visit a few companies... While in the area, I went to Sports Authority, Sports Chalet, and Big 5...
Big 5 stores are really nice inside... definitely not run down like you'd think from the stock price!
I want to buy, because... this is a prime target to run up when the economy turns.
This board... well, definitely one of the last not covered in spam.
What are some value investing "hidden" sites on the net?
shadowstock.blogspot.com is one mentioned occasionally.. and most of their content appears on seekingalpha.
zealllc.com is a hidden gem
This is a good analysis... I have been told by my little clusin that p.s. is a popular brand... However, i am not in the stock. I will likely enter into it the next few days
Cisco and HP are my two picks for the next couple years.
Why? All my smart friends think that hardware and software is dead, and that the Internet is the "fun" place to be... HP and Cisco are like Ford and Boeing, deeply entrenched and making lots of $$
