TC speaking at either of them coming up?
Bank of America Merrill Lynch Mining Conference
Deutsche Bank Leveraged Finance Conference
Think any "news" will be announced at that time... August production, debt actions, anything..??
I agree with that Gator.
A lot of throwing-of-the-elbows right now within OPEC.
Eventually something has to give. Low prices will always fix low prices. Sovereign oil companies or not. Time frame is the only differentiator.
Saudis are in a precarious spot now. Between Iran and keeping their people in line. Saudi just did a $25b bond offering because they blew through their fund. They have to keep their entitlements going to keep the population in check. Something eventually had to give. It's an ugly scenario right now. And Obama ain't helping things over there.
Gator, the Saudis rhetoric about tracking is their "cover story" so to speak. Their intentions are aimed at Iran... Not fracking.
I've been saying this forever -- despite some complaining about me doing so. It is outright foolishness to buy any new shares before there is significant insider buying action. And I'm not talking about the $500 (no joke... $500!!!) that one of the insiders made a few months ago. Between them all, they bought a whopping $10k in shares. Talk about sending a (bad) message.
Yes. Buying any TC shares before multiple insiders make large buys is flat out dumb money. Is what it is.
Gator, not to be a kill joy but when $900 is our problem, 10c cu increase is hard to get excited about. But true.... I'll take it and hope for more.
LOL, Do. And I am sure she followed that up with something like... "Bernie great customer. He fastest customer I ever had and always pays me the amount in USD instead of CAD. He smells bad but is best customer."
I'm doing this "research question" the lazy way... asking the MB.
Any insights on how much the market is shorting copper in a pounds/tonnes/whatever basis?
Stephen- bottom line, FCX ceo handled himself well, had a message, etc and the stock rallied on krapppy news/performance/etc. Perron comes across as a progressively worse baffoon with each CC.
Carl, I would pray that they have their plan baked enough for the CC3 which is in that same general time frame by then. Another blah blah debt blah blah CC and this clown (Perron) should be fired with prejudice on the spot.
Problem is that TC has a very small short interest... only about 2.5m shares or so. Ya, covering in a day would be great but probably not enough to get it to the $1 mark. Nevertheless, any spike up regardless of size is always welcomed with this lead brick.
Abraxas Petroleum Corp. said its Chairman and Chief Executive Robert L.G. Watson will voluntarily take a 20% salary cut to reflect market conditions.
Shares in the San Antonio, Texas-based oil-and-gas company recently traded at $1.79, up more than 12%, as oil prices bounced back along with global stock and commodity
