I'm using the ignore option more and more, but after careful filtering its near all AMD longs that are on the list.
The most informative posts are from shorts, 99% of the longs here just post to bury the facts even though they're proven wrong they continue posting lies. These longs aren't really investors they're outsourced viral marketers that AMD has hired due to layoffs. AMD has stooped so low that its become a propaganda pumping comedy show.
Hate to say it hei4me because you usually side with the Facts but I will side with lrkbik5 as it is he who has his Facts right.
Nvidia GRID renders the console gaming market useless and it will only get worse, these AMD APU toys don't push the performance far enough and leave the door wide open to streaming systems on ever more powerful smart TVs, not so with PC gaming where high performance hardware is king. AMD's APU is too limp and lame to stay in the game. Sony and MS consoles are more of a headache than a cash cow, the better late than never Steam Machines will take AMD APU toy consoles down, 960 Maxwell and Broadwell inside inexpensive small form Factor boxes will be the new norm.
Happy New Year
np, Frank, you're one of the best longs here on this board, you want the Facts not fiction, good luck with your investments and good night.
I do think you have your Facts right, inteldontplayfair/nicbootboy and his parroting puppets he post with are the scourge of this message board, Yahoo needs to boot bootboy and his puppets ASAP.
Intel's APU is far superior to AMD's, Intel's APU has more than 2x the CPU performance and its GPU is also more powerful, one of Intel's biggest advantages is its ring bus that is a lot faster than AMD's on-die northbridge this ring bus design connects the CPU and GPU at 384GB/s, while the link between AMD's northbridge and the GPU is only 27GB/s. Intel APUs enable SLI/Crossfire upgrade options without bottle necking high end dGPUs. Last but not least Intel's APUs performance per watt obliterate AMD's APUs, Intel APUs comand a premium price and profit while AMD is forced to sell their APUs at bargain basement prices.
So AMD's APUs are of no value to Intel, Intel's APUs graphics are for the most part based on Nvidia IP.
HSA is a open standard that anyone can use, Intel, Nvidia, and Apple can pick what they want from HSA without paying a licensing fee, the HSA standard is not proprietary.
ignore button, yes but not the best answer. I do drop in and vote but rarely post.
Have to agree with pessemist as a way to view the board without seeing the mess but its a shame these posters ruin the board with their name calling nonsense.
Happy Holidays to all
NO high powered GPU capable 14nm process for 2015, AMD will only have refreshes for 2015. Stop pretending, Start comprehending.
According to Samsung and Globalfoundries' roadmap, the two foundries plan to push their initial 14nm LPE (low power early) process, which was verified in February, into risk production in the fourth quarter of 2014 and small volume production in early 2015, the sources indicated.
The fact is AMD burned its TSMC bridge and it will be all Global Foundries from now on. Global Foundries does not have a high performance 20nm that is yield friendly, its low performance 20nm planar process phone chips for 2015 and perhaps sometime in 2016 if all goes well they might have finFET but not in 2015, refreshes only for 2015, AMD's own words not mine. The problem is TSMC will have 16nm finFET mid 2015 great for Nvidia not so for AMD.
Water rat here too, Saugatuck mi and North Point Marina il, but you can't beat the view of young breasts bouncing in the ocean sea breeze. Naples is nice but Captiva is nicer, imho.
I think the author got his Facts mixed up so I don't blame you.
Ok then, I gave you the benefit of the doubt and read the article but still can't find any reference to 16nm (other than the misleading headline), I might of had too much Glenmorangie last night and that sure didn't help my typing and missing words any but I read it twice. I did read 20nm and that could very well be TSMC process but as far as I know its a work in progress that's not high powered capable, and the yields were terrible for anything close to what a high end GPU would need. That's why Nvidia skipped 20nm and is going all in with TSMC 16nm in 2015, its looking more and more like Maxwell market assault will continue all of 2015.
So sorry no cigar for you, 16nm FinFET is a TSMC process and its Nvidia not AMD that will have it in 2015. Didn't you hear AMD burned the TSMC bridge, I didn't think so, selective hearing is a common condition of AMD fanatics who only hear what they want to hear.
You're right about one thing, 2015 will only have a AMD GPU refresh, too bad it will be too late and too lame to hold off the Maxwell market assault. I hate to say it but AMD is indeed doomed.
So sorry for bursting your propaganda pumped balloon, but its so true.
Can't catch a young breasts bouncing sea breeze in Seldona AZ but you can in Naples. I just prefer the Island life its so isolated and serene, Serene is part of my ships name, it fits the ocean Island scene. Searays hold their value well, big waves are no problem they handle great, they're a lot boat for the buck.
Listen to, back to the island, by Leon Russell and you'll know why I love Captiva. I spend my winter months on a Sea Ray 450 Sundancer, its good living at its best. The Sea Ray 450 Sundancer is not too big and it can haula$$. Great for saltwater fishing, catching the sea breeze and viewing the occasional bikini nip slips while sipping Glenmorangie or downing cold beer. Actually once the bikini clad babes start drinking its the topless view I like best. There's nothing like a young breast bouncing in the breeze, life is good.
Just a idea, from someone who likes the cut of your jib
Cheer up good man its only money.
Don't make a bet you can't afford to lose, we have too many destitute roaming the streets living off the charity of others. AMD has nowhere to hide nowhere run, BK will find AMD and then it will be done. I don't worry about AMD, Mubadala will buy it for pennies on the dollar but I do worry for my fellow man and donate accordingly sadly these days even 6 figures is just a drop in the poverty bucket.
Happy Holidays to all, as a seasonal snowbird I'm looking forward to Captiva and not dealing with cold ice and snow.
Please excuse my missing words and typos, usually I have my secretary do the typing, its late here but I'm sure sipping Glenmorangie didn't help either.
Let me reiterate, Mubadala will be buying AMD for pennies on the dollar without x86, also Intel and Nvidia are already dating each other and because ARM is the enemy and not debt laden AMD no one will mind INTC and NVDA getting married, no one but the die hard AMD fanatics of course.
Its past my bed time, a few more sips and I'll be sleeping just fine knowing that 2015 will be a very good year indeed without a parasitic AMD around to ruin margins.
btw: You are right Mr Mccoy there will be no x86 for Mubadala to play with.
as for Mr Stock Tool, you over estimate the value of having both x86 and Arm core on one processor, Its just not necessary, if needed you can do the same with separate components and do it better.
Back to sipping my Glenmorangie
AMD/BK is not off table Mubadala will allow it and buy whats left for pennies on the dollar minus the x86b license of course.
Intel and Nvidia joining forces is also on the table, the new world order is now Intel vs ARM, AMD will be a casualty.
AMD as we know it is expendable.
Your problem is two fold you live in the past and got married to a bad stock, Powerwasher dated AMD but soon realized that under all that makeup and lip stick AMD is a propaganda pumped pig.
You're as delusional as nicopumpboy, I wonder why, could it be that you are nicopumpboy, I think so.
Amdoomed got most his Facts right, AMD leaving NYSE is because in 2015 AMD would fall below the NYSE $5 Billion revenue requirement, so running to NASDAQ is AMD's only choice.
AMD falling below $5 Billion revenue is inevitable as pessimist posted AMD's earnings were dangerously close already ($5.16 billion) and S&P had cut AMD's rating to B minus but the future looks bleak, AMD leaving TSMC makes Nvidia going 16nm first a foregone conclusion, add in Skylake which is a BIG deal in every market it touches (servers to tablets) AMD is doomed. I had to say it, so sorry but its so true, AMD is in a world of hurt.
AMD will be bought for pennies on the dollar buy you know who.
Just saying it as it is.
Not going to happen, Nvidia and Intel would be a match made in transistor heaven, and now that the new world order is ARM vs Intel a Nvidia Intel marriage is back in play. Jen hates AMD worse than AMD hates Nvidia just ask Charlie your propaganda master he's one of the reasons Jen hates AMD.
Seasons Greetings to All
You guys crack me up, you've been digging AMD's grave for years now but its finally looking like 2015 is the year AMD gets buried.
AMD has been very very good to me and my fellow shorts, without AMD as we know it around we'll have to find a new propaganda pumped stock to bust.
TSMC will have high powered 16nm first, NVIDIA is in and AMD out, this fact and Intel's next gen Skylake will nail AMD's coffin shut.
AMD dead and buried 2015
btw: Mubdalla will be buying AMD for pennies on the dollar
