So, how does NTP substain itself? There's no manufacturing business/revenue source coming in, is there?
NTP sounds more like dead money, until 2yrs out---if everything pans out as planned???
Wish you were right about someone wanting to acquire KZ, but, being a realist, it isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
In addressing your points:
• Yes, KZ is in a solid financial position with reasonable debt levels and can easily weather short-term cash needs. However, saying KZ is wealthy is bending the truth in context of an ongoing business concern.
• Yes, KZ is publishing great games and it appears they have a loyal following. However, KZ is still in the minor leagues due to lack of a portfolio of blockbusters before being noticed for M&A talks.
I am sure that KZ management wish they knew the catalyst for share price increases too. For the foreseeable, KZ is small potatoes open to a bit of stock manipulation by the market makers.
Is there a conspiracy to make KZ go down? Possible, but, not for the long run. Yes, today's action is bigger than average, HOWEVER;
Have you consider other mitigating factors, such as:
• KZ is actively seeking to buy cheaper shares in the open market; even ddShort says KZ has 3million more shares to go. KZ is more likely a value investor type;
• Volatility: KZ 50 dma % change is approx. 13%, while the market (even some of the best of the best top line blue chips) has gone down 10-18%;
Do I like this volatility? No, but, neither am I worried for the long term.
Thank you for the info. I wasn't sure if NTP had ongoing rental revenue. I thought it strange, but, everything I've read indicated they were only developing the parcels of land without other sources of income.
KZ has experienced a powerful bounce higher because the sellers have become exhausted.
Regardless of the reason behind it, when a stock makes a large-percentage move, it is often just the start of a new major trend -- a trend that can lead to huge profits. If you time your trade correctly, combining technical indicators with fundamental trends, discipline and sound money management, you will be well on your way to investment success.
What does this mean to Short sellers? Simply decreased profits from a very profitable trade to a mediocre trade.
It's like there is a direct inverse relationship!
dd, for a person with decent analysis, why do you keep harping about an asinine idea of share but back or dividend? It is simply #$%$.
ddShort, you are one loco investor! KZ barely net income of $20mill and YOU suggest a share buy back, incredulous. No need for future capital investments, no need for emergency funds, etc......
YOU may budget your home finances that way, but, thankfully YOU don't work for KZ. Think before you post. Clueless.....
Can anyone provide clarity on how NTP pays their qtrly dividends? As I understand NTP has no revenue source from ongoing manufacturing as they transform from LCD/LCM manufactory to a focus on developing two parcels of land for converting them into commercial complexes in Gushu and Guangming, Shenzhen.
Does NTP pay shareholders from the dwindling supply of cash reserves?
"Once I get my money back...."
Why sell, when KZ recovers to your entry price? That may mean 1) You held on just to break-even! 2) If you sold as you "break even", means you sold out just when KZ is ready to break out and explode on the upside!
So, what I am hearing is that you don't really have good logical reasons for KZ tanking.
What I think you're saying is that you are simply a mo-mo trader. Nothing based upon company fundamentals. Nothing wrong with TA, if it makes you money, it makes you money.
I am more of a fundamentals kinda of investor.
ddshort, yes, you were right for the SHORT term, but, why would KZ stay down fo he long term?
If I was a trader, following your lead would be right, but, I tend to hold onto my investments.. With KZ, I can hold, as I feel, there is more reward, than risk. Can you hold on to your short? If so, how long?
Bull, I am confident KZ will recover. I am disappointed with KZ inability to generate excitement with their products/services. Look at alibaba, not for the size, IPO, and such, but, the buzz it generates. KZ doesn't keep that buzz in investors minds.
ddshort, As much as I hate to admit it, but, for the short term, you've been right so far with KZ falling. Why is KZ tanking? There are many more companies with far worst financials and even slower growth than KZ, yet their share price fetch much higher multiples, WHY?!

Well, I hope you are right. I am holding BAC in several accounts. It's done well, but, not quite as well as many of the other financials....
However, I think some investors / traders are "counting their chickens before they hatch" It's sorta like waiting for the other shoe to drop.
So why isn't BAC share prices going up like all the other financials inst.?
Bull, u are being sarcastic about KZ not tanking, right? KZ is at a 52week low?!!! How isn't that tanking?
Basiarob, you got that right, nobody knows about KZ. KZ is neither heavily accumulated or heavily sold by any large institutions. KZ is not well known or followed extensively.
It hasn't help matters that KZ earnings growth in the past year has decelerated moderately compared to earnings growth in the past three years.
I hate to sound so down on this company, but what excitement or good has KZ produced to stay relevant?
