Today's selloff just represented a buying opportunity -- either to take start a position or increase one's holdings.
AAPL really held up quite well considering the ugly mood today. A minor pause in it's upward climb.
I agree. Huge buys around 10:10-10:15 time frame. I think we can expect to see more like this in the coming weeks.
Thanks for calling my attention to their work (i.e. Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN) of Singapore). The article, dated August 2013, concludes by saying, "The IBN researchers are now working on applying and further developing their technology toward engineering functional tissues and clinical applications."
IBN is a research arm tied to a Singapore university similar to US models.
While most of us are aware of similar research being done all over the world, ONVO is a leader (or perhaps, THE leader) when it comes to being on the cusp of commercial viability. And with the excellent team Murphy has assembled, I don't see them giving up any ground for the foreseeable future.
ONVO is even working with companies and other research depts. associated with colleges now. If anything, ONVO will get a royalty or some type of revenue from this work as well.
I feel very good about my long position in ONVO. Good company with a great future, imo.
Well said, jj. That is why a lot of us are long on ONVO. And, big investors are and will be taking positions too, imo.
OK, I believe you with your additional comments. You should have added something like that on the end of your original post to make it clear that is what you meant.
The days of MF and SA short attacks are diminishing, imo, though they may have a few other chances before sales start rolling in later this year and certainly next year. If that happens, I will buy some discounted shares to add to my position.
We longs know the steps Murphy and company have put in place. It is a carefully, well-thought plan that will maximize performance from day one of liver assay sales, plus continue the work they're doing in other scientific areas.
Glad to hear you're still buying shares. The second half of 2014 and going forward is looking good for longs though there may be a few bumps along the way.
The article mentions the liver assay work already done without identifying ONVO directly. I guess it's scientific protocol or something.
That said, while it takes some sleuthing by investors not aware of ONVO's work, I think in time this article should help get the word out about the excellent work done at ONVO.
Here's a paragraph from the artcle:
Scientists from the Universities of Sydney, Harvard, Stanford and MIT have been working together to overcome these mountainous hurdles. Today, the University of Sydney made a groundbreaking announcement. The team of scientists from all four universities have figured out a technique, making such vascularisation possible within the 3D bioprinting process.
I hardly ever read MF or SA. Most of them don't know what their talking about, or, if they do, have a short agenda they're advancing.
There are many other sources to read that are more reliable for objective reporting. Forget about MF and SA.
I am long, but I didn't know an alternative site with pics existed.
Why doesn't the company web site have updated pics? Seems like it should. Kind of odd, imo.
Thanks, dog. Might increase my exposure a little. I don't have that much anyway, $622 representing 7.5k shares, but might bump it up to an even $1,000 or so.
dog: OK. FITX will have a competitor, if I read your post right. Thanks for that info.
What about the first 3 questions. Any "color" you have based on last night's meeting?
Please answer these questions for me: 1. Was Bill at this meeting? 2. If so, what did he have to say to residents? 3. What "issues" are there that are unresolved? 4. They indicate that only two sites qualify for approved. Two FITX sites or would FITX have a competitor?
Thanks for your feedback on these questions and any other info you want to provide about the meeting.
Bill is laying the right groundwork, it seems. So, I agree. A PR saying that FITX has the license in hand within the coming weeks (the sooner the better) would be huge!
