Make something happen
You received an award for your conservative approach. Super.
Now make something happen!
No news,.... just waiting for the next earnings call when you are super conservative just plays into the shorts hands.
Are you not tired of them artificially devaluing your company and eating your lunch? I am.
Or......... don't do a damn thing. Let some buyer take over your company for a 25% premium and never reach your potential... Your call folks.
AMBA is not tied to GoPro's Christmas. We all know it will suck. They have discounted the hell out of their low end product. Plain and simple, AMBA is about the future.
48.22% of the float is short per Yahoo as of DEC 15th.
I thought they were being smart and covering in early DEC. But No.
Just shorting more.
13.47 Million shares, 48,22% of the float of 29.14 Million shares will need to cover. They better get going.
They are now going to be fighting among themselves.
Last to the party looses $$$.
in their right mind is making it easy for the shorts ( 57% of float per Yahoo Finance ) to cover???
And on a day the NASDAQ recovers from a bad open.
Could today's pullback possibly be the shorts doubling down trying to trigger selling stops?
Longs and shorts, take some time out of your day and listen to the ENTIRE conference call. These guys are delivering CONSERVATIVE Earnings and Cash.
IN AN AREA THAT HAS TONS OF GROWTH AHEAD ( Security Cameras, Body mounted police cameras, Auto Safety Cameras, Auto backup Cameras, Drones for both work and play)
They are going to shortly have a chip that has super stabilization features compared to the competition.
BTW, drones with video cameras are one of Christmas' hottest gifts this year. It is the kind of gift that if it isn't under the tree someone will buy afterwards.
They beat earnings and gave conservative guidance.
Take some time and listen to the call. Towards the end of the call the analysts are asking probing questions as to how they came up with such conservative guidance. IMO, there is plenty of upside.
They are a leader in a growing area. They know their business and they deliver.
Let's all sell our shares based on sloppy and tardy work. Analyst Ross Seymore of Deutsche SHOULD HAVE lowered AMBA guidance shortly after the company did right after the last conference call. WHO is calling them out? This is sloppy and untimely analyst work ( That coincidentally grabs headlines) . As you can see from the fine print in their note below: They were at REV of 81M they are JUST now ( just days before the next conference call) lowering their guidance to 79M which is still above the Street's 77M. YES, they are still above the STREET's guidance.
"As a result, we are lowering our F4Q16rev/EPS ests to $79m (-15% q/q)/$0.65 from $81m (-12% q/q)/$0.69, still abovethe Street’s $77m"
Where is the analyst accountability?
Has anyone else seen this?
Taking some air out of the stock going into earnings on Thursday is a good from a technical trading perspective with ~ 40% of the float short.
Again, I'll be very curious to see what % of float is short when next published.
Think about it, the stock gets knocked down from 120's to under 60. Expectations have already been beat down to next to nothing prior to Conference Call on DEC 3rd.
That shorts have covered last 20 minutes of each of the last three days?
Seems to be patterns emerging on when sporatic run ups and run downs occur in this stock
Next week is anyone's guess due to CC just around the corner.
THIS IS AMAZING ! I expected them to cover and take their huge profits
The share price during this 2 week period went UP less than a dollar
Percentage short of float must now be ~ 45 - 47%?
what percent of float is short at the next posting at end of NOV.
Seems to me like the shorts are making one last stab to decrease share price today.
Does anybody know where to see live short trades?
Eventually they will need to cover. I guess just not today.
I just put in a GTC sell order for $107 / share of AMBA. ( a little less than double the current price)
Brokerage firm can't loan them if I'm going to sell them.
Further, if brokerage already loaned my shares, they then need to call them back from the shorts.
Make them cover.
What if all the longs did the same?
