Verizon and ATT are competitors but are also friends. They don't beat each other up. It's them against everyone else. Here's how it will work out. ATT will tell Verizon, we need to win this one and we'll let you win the next one.
I don't know that anyone has actually seen the order. I'm thinking back when FCC chairman Genokowski in 2012 approved the Dish spectrum, conditions were put on it to use some of the spectrum for interference protection. The chairman consulted with At&t and Verizon before the final order was issued. The conditions postponed the use of the spectrum which today still has not been used.
Fibertower does not have possession of these licenses. The FCC does. I looked on the Fibertower bankruptcy site and saw where the trial against the FCC is in 2018. What are the chances that Fibertower beats the FCC? I would say none. These licences are going to be auctioned down the road. Chris Pucillo struck out on this one. You know he screwed the Terrestar shareholders. It's nice to see him get screwed.
