IMHO MRK is the most undervalued of the "big pharmas " Not only is there enormous potential in its pipeline,it also enjoys a large capital position and can deploy this capital in several directions which include beneficial acquisitions and increased dividends just to name a few. I think a year from now we could be looking at a price in excess of $80. Also in the interim a don't rule out a major accretive purchase. Net net net a huge opportunity.
IMHO the share price decline is actually related to oil.Even though the don't have many loans to oil companies they are located in the middle of the Texas oil community and do make loans to many local area companies whose businesses are dependent on the local oil economy.
Without having access to the details on all aprox. 48 properties and the three management contracts its impossible to estimate. But my guess is that it accounts to something around 10% of the overall company.
My guess the spinoffs are the 3 reits each with a different co-manager. Probably issue rights rather than share of stock to PSEC shareholders. The rights should have some value to them and can be exercised or sold. We should know for sure this quarter. What ever it is it won't won't make you rich but it should be a nice plus.
Its not so much what you have done in the past but rather what you do now and in the future. they had to do what was necessary to gain the size really fast so they can compete on an economic scale. If you think they are over priced then sell,i am sure someone is waiting to buy your shares. My personal belief is that this will be a premier reit in the triple net space and am holding and accumulating . marionpolk2000 you should do what you believe to be best for you.
Many reits payout dividends that exceed earnings or taxable income. Get real. Once the current situation is cleared up this company will be among the best reits in my opinion. Therefore not only am i holding on to ny shares but adding to my position when for unwarranted reasons the stock sells down. The dividend will be compatible at the then selling price, but will be higher if bought at these lower prices.
ARCP is a reit and as such must payout at least 90% of its taxable earnings. Therefore if no further reporting problems exist ,after 3/15 dividends will resume and will have to make up for the 3 months dividend that was withheld under the restriction, probably with a special dividend.Any decline in the price of shares on todays announcement could be a great buying opportunity.Do your own research and investigating and make up your own mind.
In my opinion needs to open in appropriate locations , units that are designed to keep customers in the store for long periods of time,by providing comfortable seating and wi-fi service that will encourage people to use it as a place to meet ,relax and eat an expanded menu that covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This will tend to increase the average per person expenditure. It should also encourage multiple visits per day. I believe it worth a try. Also i would like to see more company owned units in key locations. The simple fact is Dunkin coffee is the best and should be expiated better.Just a few suggestions, there are many more.
I think it would be great for VLY to take advantage of the very large casino complex being developed at the site of the old Concord Hotel in Sullivan county N.Y. It would be a great location for several branches in the vicinity. Business is sure to take off.
Of the HUGE casino project being developed on the Concord hotel property in Sullivan county.Seem to me to be a great opportunity for TRST already in nearby areas. Either by opening several branches or by acquisition .Any thoughts?
Did not read it on line. Contact "the real deal "magazine and request the edition with the Howard Lorber article, very recent.
100 million, over 5 times the error. Absent some other irregularity the cash flow and profitability should be more than adequate to maintain the current dividend. Those errors may prove to be a blessing in disguise by causing the departure of an overly aggressive management, increasing the size of the company for the selfish reason of increasing their own income and benefits. Now maybe the company will be run for the benefit of shareholders.
I will tell you where the stock bottoms when you tell me where oil bottoms. The bigger question is whether or not the company is sound and will bounce back when oil bounces back. I for one think it is,so i add to my position when ever i can at these low prices and average down for the long haul. I think mgmt knows what to do as well and take advantage of the situation and acquire additional oil and gas interests at the depressed prices to grow the company and hopefully the distributions. Of couse if i am wrong i could loose it all. Thats the risk i choose to take, others have chosen to sell. Everyone has to make their own choice.
