Parties familiar with the matter said that this is a strategic move by Facebook to overpay for companies with hidden values that no one else can't see and that includes the original founders of the purchased companies.
This basically means JPM sees greater profits coming up as the economy improves.
Looks like VLO threw in a bunch of special charges on this warning. Including lawsuit settlements, the charges to comply with new environmental regulations, etc. etc. The future looks good from here on.
It took a year before the 787 issues were fixed and the stock took a huge hit. The 777 has been flying for sometime so I wonder what happens if those planes get grounded.
This is the key.... Apple is history of innovation has been of repackaging of existing products in a nice r format. The iPod, well there were digital devices way before this and a music store there were many before the Apple store. Touch screen on phones there were many before the iPhone. Even the iPad is a repacking of a bigger iPhone.
And if that wasn't the case this stock would be in a world of hurt.
Until this company proves that it can grow with new products then it is just another company with good revenue but no growth because its markets have become saturated. Apple can always do what the detergent companies do and that's to come up with new clever logos like New and Improved iPhone 20s now in more colors.
Epa proposals are just that and won't take for four years.
This is the best buying opportunity before a hit summer driving season in an improving economy.
The stock repurchase seems to me a tactic to have some investors sell the stock now so they can keep their capitals gains before Obama raises the capital sales tax.
So Buffett buys the shares so that the stock price won't get hit by huge sales.
In the process the capital of Berkshire gets reduced.
Funny.... Looks like Buffett can't even keep his investors in believing on his tax message.
This 401k idea has really made me think about whether to stay or move on.
I am currently working on a project where I work 60 to 80
hours per week and only charging 40 hours because the project was sold with a
super tight budget. I start at 4:00am in the morning to get the status report from
the offshore teams due to the time difference. Then I work with the team and
the client until 7:00pm or 8:00 pm. I leave work to have a fast food dinner after
that I have to catch up with all administrative tasks IBM asks you do such as
getting professional certifications that IBM requires to keep your job but they
don’t provide any free training. It comes out of your own pocket. Before I go
to bed at 11p, I have a quick conference call with the offshore team that is
waking up to dicuss tasks they need to do before I wake up at 4am. Then I repeat this
cycle all over again the next day. Sometimes on the weekends as well. Now, I have nothing against the offshore team. They are a great group of people. Their schedule sucks just as bad. They
have to stay up until 2am for me. Not only that, they also work on multiple projects at that the same time. Now with reduced benefits, it really doesn't make any sense for
me to ruin my health and personal life to keep benefits that are really worthless.
I met this great lady who told woke me up to the craziness of working
so hard that it negatively affects my health only to have company provided health insurance.
1. Your taxes are going up thanks to Obama
2. That triggered tax selling for all stocks
3. Apple gets caught in the selling
4. The selling gets worst as margin calls kick in
5. Panic spawns more selling
Looks like Obama policies has cost you one again....
The gain in taxes raised by taxing the rich has been already being lost in in the stock market cap and to insult to injury, you are still getting taxed more.
Sentiment: Strong Sell
Guess what? All they were trying to do is bring sucker buyers in so they could get out ...
Yesterday they got out.
This company is unraveling because of its big ego. It is suing and severing business relationships with the partners it depends on. Creating low moral among the veteran ranks.
This company is the next Sun Microsystems...
Sentiment: Strong Sell
That chick has nothing worth saying except repeating the same economical theories over and over again... it is her bread and butter... Ooops sorry... her bread and butter are basically her jugs.. otherwise she would not be on TV.
