The video investors business daily put out yesterday charting the technical action in KORS is spot on. KORS is in a second stage base on bass pattern. It is still real early in its stock appreciation. IBD identified a $101.14 as the pivot point. The stock needs a catalyst and reports in two weeks. It will trade over $110 by the end of the month, if the markets cooperate.

  • Last week the lovely people over at Michael Kors asked me to check out their new location in Halifax. Of course I jumped at the chance, since I knew I would be home a few short days after the opening! The new store is located in the Halifax Shopping Centre on the bottom level right next to Coach, a perfect location. As soon as I walked into the store I was immediately impressed. The HSC location resembles that of any other mecca city, with it’s open concept, metal and wood surfaces and white/earth toned colour palette. I was also extremely happy with the selection. I had been looking at the MK website the night before I went to the store, and wasn’t expecting the HSC location to carry a lot of what the website offered (they did). From the classic Hamilton to new off the Runway pieces and lots of shoes and accessories in between, the HSC Michael Kors is what fashion dreams are made of. I ended up leaving with a colorblocked Mini Selma that I styled with a metallic threaded sweater and olive green track inspired shorts. The mini cross-body It is so perfect for summer days when a big tote is too much to lug around (although MK has some amazing totes too)! If you are around the Halifax Shopping Centre this weekend you should definitely check out the new store! I’m sure you will not be able to leave without at least a little something!

Cisco has not seen that type of revenue growth in years.
That being said... I was not impressed with the quarter....

After hours is not "the market!"
Growth stocks are being sold for value stocks. The report from Tesla does not matter.
This stock will continue to sell off...
At some point TSLA will be a buy? But, not this week.....

You have owned this stock long enough to know every time it trades below the ten week line it is a buying opportunity. KORS will make a new high this month. Easy money!

I don't trade. I will leave that to smarter people like you. I am old and patient, and can withstand the ups and downs of a growth stock. I do not know how they will report from quarter to quarter. But, I do know year over year they will grow substantially. I think sometimes we get too focused on one quarter, and lose sight of the larger picture. The quarters can be choppy. But, longer term, KORS will outperform the market.

I think it would be great if companies only reported once per year....

You are a trader! I am an investor in a growing company. I started buying in the $50's...
I own 1,200 shares and have posted every time I have made a purchase.

Trading in and out of stocks is a good way to miss the big money...holding long and being patient.

KORS will earn $3.20 this year, and $5 in 2015! They will likely earn $6.50 in 2016...growing 30% and earning $6.50... I like that...

I had to shop this weekend and went to Nordstrom's, Macy's and Michael Kors. The first store was Macy's and I asked the sales lady, "What is the top selling woman's watch?" She replied quickly, "Michael Kors."
My wife and I then went to Nordstrom and went to the men's section (my sister works there) and asked, "what is the top selling men's watch?" The sales clerk replied, "Burberry and Michael Kors. Actually, Michael Kors is really popular these days." He also said business has picked up in March and April. We went to the women's shoe section and asked, "What is the top selling shoe brand?" The gentleman walked me straight to the Michael Kors display. Also, my sister told me the Michael Kors mens underwear is outselling Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein this year.

We then we to the Michael Kors store and it was packed. I asked the manager (who knows me well) how business has been, and she replied, "slammed!" We were there for one hour and the cash register was constantly ringing. People were spending $500-$1,000 at a clip with no problem. The summer line looks awesome on the shelfs, and is selling well.

KORS will definitely raise guidance this month, and I may need to add to my position...

KORS traded up $3.32 this week with 12 million shares exchanged. The volume on this up week was about 30% higher than average volume during the recent down weeks. Typically, KORS has been trading 9 million shares per week. So, the price action and volume favors a move higher for KORS. The stock is meeting resistance at its 10 week moving average, and needs a catalyst to move higher. I wonder what that might be? The EPS report will be released this month...

He said "KORS is too expensive" on the day Barclays downgraded KORS with a price target of $85! He also said his friend, Herb Greenberg has found some problems with KORS. The stock was trading at $93 that morning and continued to trade down to $87 in the coming days.

WELL, LOW AND BEHOLD, A FEW WEEKS LATER, AND NOW HE SAYS "KORS is going much higher!"

The stock is still at $93! The same price as when he said it was too expensive. I know he is paid to get ratings. But, this type of sentiment usually loses people money. The way to make money in stocks is to hold for long term, and not to trade in and out of stocks.

    Jim Cramer is a turkey...

  • Nomura is the second firm to initiate coverage this week. Their price target is $116.
