I am not concerned about some background noise in Russia. Does it have an affect on KORS top/bottom lines? KORS is having another great quarter, and their continued earnings growth will be reflected in the stock price eventually.
Be careful what you wish for...every time the USA gets involved in a war the stock market trades higher.
Oh by the way: I have never shorted any stock, and I certainly would not be shorting growth stocks in a bull market.
Good luck to you though....

When a growth stock misses estimates it usually sells off. Cantor Fitzgerald downgraded the stock while others hiked price targets. JAZZ is not a cheap stock, and when they miss estimates you can expect some selling. I suspect this will provide a buying opportunity when we look back six onths from now, and JAZZ is trading over $200.
The KORS brand is hotter than ever, and there is not doubt they will beat the sandbagged guidance for this quarter. I would guess they will come in around $.77 for the quarter and $3.20 for the year. There is also no doubt they must raise the guidance for fiscal 2015 in May. The current expectations for fiscal 2015 is $3.84, and KORS management will raise that to at least $4 at the May EPS report. KORS is more likely to earn $5 in fiscal 2015 so we have another year of beat and raise quarters to look forward to this year.
A firm growing at 50% and earning $5 is worth??? I would say $150 at the very minimum and that is more than a 50% increase from today's levels. All longs need to do is hold on to their shares, and not get stupid by trading in and out of the stock.
The institutional ownership is increasing every quarter (as loreenw point out often) and they will continue to buy and hold this powerful growth stock. It is pretty difficult to find growth stock with this type of consistent earnings beats quarter after quarter. Michael Kors as the best management team in the business, and they have been doing it for a long time.
She bought shares in September 2013...maybe she knows something?
Michael Kors Holdings Ltd (KORS) insider Gibbons Judy buys $159K of stock
Gibbons Judy purchased 2,125 shares of Michael Kors Holdings Ltd stock, or $158,693 worth, as noted in an SEC Filing today. As reported in the filing, the transactions occurred on September 11, 2013. After the transaction, Gibbons Judy's stake was reported as 2,125 shares of Michael Kors Holdings Ltd stock.
Why would you short a growth stock in a bull market? You pick a stock that is growing at 60% with a multiple of 32, and reporting blowout earnings every quarter.
The insider purchase may not be a large one but it is symbolic of her belief the stock is going higher. I have no doubts KORS will blowout earnings again in May. How many times have you seen a stock gap up and then flag for three weeks and then fail? It is rare in a bull market. Check the UA chart from last month...
I think the agreement was announced in September, and the store opened last week? They have a contract with the property management organization to open more stores in India. I am sure they will take a cautious approach in that country...
Judy Gibbons last purchased shares around $74! She has added to her portfolio..
Insiders only buy for one reason...
Michael Kors Holdings Limited director just picked up 1,980 shares
Judy Gibbons, a director of Michael Kors Holdings Limited, recently acquired 1,980 shares of the company. The buys took place at $100.17 per share, on February 26, 2014. Gibbons now owns 4,105 shares of the company. Gibbons operates out of Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, K3.

A new Michael Kors store will open in April 2014 on Walnut Street in Philly....
Now that it's been confirmed that Burberry will vacate its 1705 Walnut Street store this Saturday, we did a little digging to see who's slated to scoop up the space. Turns out, Michael Kors is headed for the prime Rittenhouse Row storefront, Larry Steinberg, president of the Rittenhouse Row Merchant's Association, tells us. Michael Kors will occupy both floors of the recently-sold building (which has yet to settle), with an anticipated opening in spring 2014.
Yes! KORS has a three weeks tight chart pattern on light volume AFTER a nice run-up in stock price. This gives investors an "add-on" buy opportunity. The buy point is ten cents above the old high. Therefore, the new buy point is $101.14. UA had a three weeks tight chart pattern a few weeks ago and soared another 15%. I am not saying that will happen with KORS. But, look for increased volume as KORS trades at $101.14.
The three weeks tight chart pattern is an indication that investors are comfortable holding KORS at these levels, and unwilling to sell.
It appears they have plans to open more stores in India...
New Delhi: American luxury goods retailer Michael Kors, a maker of apparel and accessories for men and women, has entered into a franchising agreement with New Delhi-based Genesis Luxury Fashion Pvt. Ltd to open stores in India, according to two people close to the development who didn’t want to be named.
The brand has opened its first shop in New Delhi’s DLF Emporio mall.
Genesis Luxury, managed by Sanjay Kapoor, has also brought in brands such as British lifestyle label Burberry, footwear label Jimmy Choo and Italian brand Bottega Veneta, known for leather bags and accessories.
The company declined to comment.
New York Stock Exchange-listed Michael Kors Holdings Ltd retails accessories including handbags, footwear and small leather good, apart from apparel.
The week of March 2, 2009 LULU traded down to $2.25. Four years later it traded over $82. I can only hope KORS trades like LULU.
You have been wrong every step of the way with KORS. You continue to post ignorant opinions without any evidence to support your thesis. Why don't you do one of two things:
1. Buy KORS and stay long.
2. Stay on the sidelines, and watch KORS continue to climb higher.

The stock has yet to close over par, and has seen lower highs this week since reaching $100. I suspect the stock breaks past this $100 barrier soon. We should see some multiple expansion seeing that the stock is growing so rapidly....
As of February 14, KORS short interest was reduced from 12 million shares to 8.5 million shares after blowout earnings.
Those 8.5 million shares are way under water with another blowout quarter looming....
Anemic volume the past three weeks, and tight trading too. KORS may break out next week after forming a three weeks tight pattern? I would like to see an upgrade or insider buying to blow the shorts up...
